Over time, working as a development and humanitarian professional, Hon. Royce Iombor has offered several jobs to numerous young people across Gwer East Local Government Area which members of this association are also beneficiaries.
Like the golden fish that has no hiding place, the association's search light has found Hon. Royce worthy of this honor.

CITATION OF HON. ROYCE TERNA IOMBOR
Honourable Royce Terna Iombor stands as a fine blend of intellect, service, and purposeful leadership; a man whose journey reflects both academic excellence and a deep commitment to humanity. A seasoned public health specialist and trained medical microbiologist, Royce’s foundation was laid at Mount Saint Michael Nursery and Primary School, Aliade, where his leadership traits began to shine early. He progressed through Mount Saint Michael Secondary School and Special Science Senior Secondary School, consistently distinguishing himself not only in academics but also in character and responsibility.
His pursuit of knowledge led him to the prestigious Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, where he earned a Second Class Upper degree in Microbiology. While there, he was elected President of the Department of Biological Sciences, the largest in the university at the time; demonstrating the confidence his peers reposed in his leadership. Driven by a passion for deeper impact, he further obtained a Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology, solidifying his place as a scholar and researcher with contributions in molecular studies and antimicrobial resistance.
Beyond the classroom, Hon. Royce has lived a life of service. From his early days as a teacher shaping young minds, to supporting national examination bodies like JAMB, WAEC, and NECO, he has continually invested in education and youth development. His humanitarian journey took deeper roots through his work with First Step Action for Children, Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria, Christian Health Association of Nigeria, and APIN Public Health Initiatives, where he played key roles in advancing community health, HIV prevention, and capacity building.
A certified development expert and master trainer in multiple public health interventions, Hon. Royce has trained and mentored countless individuals across Nigeria. Yet, perhaps his most defining legacy lies in his unwavering commitment to empowering young people, creating pathways for graduates to secure meaningful opportunities in the development sector and lifting many off the streets into purposeful careers.
A devoted family man and practicing Catholic, he is married to Lady Janet Fanyam Iombor, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children.
Today, we honour not just a politician, but a visionary and academic, a humanitarian, and a relentless advocate for youth development. Hon. Royce Terna Iombor is indeed a beacon of hope and a testament to what purposeful leadership looks like.
