Key Event Highlights
The day was packed with learning, fun, and inspiration, fulfilling the global theme: "The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis."
The girls were motivated by speakers including Ambassador George Iorpuu (UNYA President, Benue/YALI Network representative), who guided them through exciting digital career paths in Tech, and Miss Rita Kumawuese Agena urged our girls to lead development, reminding you that true development begins with the empowered female mind. When a girl leads, she brings sustainable progress, empathy, and innovation to every sector, from education and health to technology and governance.
Girls shared personal ambitions and experiences, while fun activities like the Chair Dance Competition and Affirmation Cycle boosted confidence and teamwork.
A huge thank you to all the students, teachers, partners, and well-wishers who made this impactful event possible. LaDEg is committed to bridging the digital divide and investing in the next generation of empowered female leaders!
