Here are simple, practical ways to deal with body odour — easy to follow and effective:
1. Bathe Daily (or Twice Daily if Active)
Sweat itself is not the cause of odour — bacteria breaking down sweat is the problem.
Frequent bathing removes sweat, oils, and bacteria.
Tip:
• Pay attention to the armpits, groin, neck folds, and feet.
2. Use an Antibacterial Soap
Soaps like Dettol, Tetmosol, Septol, or any mild antibacterial soap help kill odour-causing bacteria.
3. Apply Deodorant or Antiperspirant
Deodorants control smell.
Antiperspirants reduce sweating.
For very strong odour, use a clinical-strength antiperspirant at night.
4. Keep Armpits and Private Areas Trimmed
Hair traps sweat and promotes bacterial growth.
Shaving/ trimming reduces odour immediat
5. Wear Clean Clothes & Breathable Fabrics
Dirty clothes hold sweat bacteria.
Choose cotton, linen, or breathable fabrics rather than nylon or polyester
6. Stay Hydrated
Water helps regulate body temperature and dilute sweat, making it less smelly.
7. Avoid Foods That Trigger Odour
Some foods change body smell, such as:
Garlic
Onion
Alcohol
Spicy foods
Too much red meat
If you notice a pattern after eating them, reduce intake.
8. Use Home Remedies (Safe & Easy
Lemon
Rub lemon juice (diluted) on armpits for 10 minutes, wash off.

Apply for 5–10 minutes and rinse.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Wipe underarms with diluted ACV to balance bacteria.
9. Change Towels & Bedsheets Regularly
