SAVE BENUE AND THE CHILDREN

Benue sons and daughters, rise up today,
Defend our children, drive the terrorists away!
We owe it to them, to keep them safe,
From Fulani terrorists, who bring only pain and hate.

These children are innocent, why must they die?
Killed like chickens, their future denied.
The ones who fell, could have been great,
A president, pilot, barrister, doctor, engineer or a professor to create.

They could have farmed, built homes, and thrived,
But Fulani terrorists killed them, their dreams un-lived.
How many more lives must be lost in vain?
When will our leaders say, "Enough is enough, let peace reign"?

SGF, Senators, Governors, hear our plea,
How many more children must we bury, before you see?
The blood of our innocents cries out for justice,
We demand action, an end to this senseless violence.

Let's rise up, let's take back our land,
For our children's future, we'll make a stand.
We owe it to them, to keep them free,
From Fulani terrorists, who bring only misery.

THE ANSWER IS UNITY OF MIND AND PURPOSE:

Eyaa! Eyaa!! Eyaa!!!, Uwu! kai God! Is what the Social media is filled with as at 24th May, 2025 after the bloody massacres that ravaged residents of Yelewata and the people of Gwer west. Taken, that these are expressions of sympathy, however the current Security situations calls for collaborative action, a collaborative action deeper than social media lamentation. This is not a period of long essays but thorough and well calculated and executed counter actions. Fr Mfa Tivdoo beautifully wrote on his social media handle, "...They are coming for ALL!
They did not attack fada in his house. It was on the ROAD. Do you or your family still travel by ROAD? They are for ALL!" It is very easy for the enemy to pe*****te a disunited family and that is our problem in Tivland, Benue State and Nigeria as a whole. The sentiments of " Or la ka or ihyarev je
", "Mbara ka masev", "Ka se kparev je ne", has divided our Tiv family into several contentious units that have refused to be the "Ayatutu Ka se" and the "shimayam ngi awambe awambe people", revered and feared by the "Uke."

Reports reaching us about yesterday's incidents clearly state that the security agencies were all hands akimbo at the face of these killings, they were less-concerned.
Since the Executive arms of governance have refused to protect lives and property, we must unite as one family and defend ourselves because self-preservation is the summary of natural law. We must unite together as Tiv not just as kparev, sh*tile or minda, but as sons and daughters of Takuruku Anyamazanga our common ancestor. We must unite not just as Tiv, Idoma, Igede and Etulo but as one Benue to defend the Benue lands from the Fulani terrorists. We must unite not just as Igbos or Yorubas or Tiv but as one Nigeria to defend our lands. The Igbos must not look at the killings going on as non of their business but as a direct attack on fellow Nigerians and join hands to support with the necessary apparatus needed for quick action. Because they are coming for everyone. At this point intime, our eyaas and our kai God will not raise our dead or heal our injuries but our unity as Tiv people, as one Benue and as one Nigeria is the only barrier and antidote to this problem. ITS TIME TO PICK UP OUR STICKS AGAINST THOSE WHO CONTEND AGAINST US WITH STICKS.
