🚨 CHOLERA ALERT – PROTECT YOURSELF, PROTECT YOUR COMMUNITY 🚨

The ALF Foundation urges all residents of Maiduguri and surrounding communities to remain vigilant and take preventive measures against cholera.

Cholera spreads through contaminated food and water but can be prevented through good hygiene and sanitation practices.

✅ Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water.
✅ Drink only safe, boiled, or treated water.
✅ Eat properly cooked food and wash fruits and vegetables before eating.
✅ Use clean toilet facilities and avoid open defecation.
✅ Keep your surroundings clean and dispose of waste properly.

⚠️ Seek immediate medical attention if you experience:
• Frequent watery diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Severe dehydration
• Weakness or dizziness

Early treatment saves lives. Let us all play our part in preventing the spread of cholera and protecting the health of our communities.

🛑 CHOLERA AWARENESS 🛑

Cholera is a dangerous disease caused by contaminated food and water. It can spread quickly and may lead to severe dehydration and death if not treated early.

ALF Foundation urges all community members to take the following preventive measures:

✅ Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water
✅ Drink only clean and safe water
✅ Wash fruits and vegetables before eating
✅ Keep your environment clean
✅ Properly dispose of waste and use clean toilets
✅ Avoid open defecation
✅ Cover food and water to prevent contamination

⚠️ Symptoms of Cholera include:

- Frequent watery diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Weakness and dehydration

If anyone shows these symptoms, quickly visit the nearest health facility for treatment.
