🌟 Activity Highlight: Food Item Distribution 🌟

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, Ekoja Care Aid Foundation (ECAF) successfully carried out a Food Item Distribution under the project “Emergency Food Support for Vulnerable Households.”

This intervention was designed to provide immediate relief to families facing food insecurity, particularly within
displaced communities. Through this activity, essential food items were distributed to carefully selected beneficiaries, helping to ease the burden of daily survival and improve household well-being.

At ECAF, we believe that access to food is a basic human right. This initiative is one of many steps we are taking to restore dignity, reduce hardship, and bring hope to those in need.

The International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Ge***al Mutilation is observed every year to raise awareness, renew commitments and accelerate collective efforts to end Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) worldwide. This day serves as a powerful reminder that FGM is a harmful practice that violates the rights, dignity, health and wellbeing of girls and women.

FGM has no health benefits and can lead to lifelong physical and psychological consequences. Despite global progress, millions of girls remain at risk each year. The commemoration of this day brings together governments, civil society organizations, community leaders, survivors and international partners and Local partners to advocate for stronger laws, increased funding, community engagement and survivor centered support systems.

This year and every year the call to action is to: Strengthen prevention, support survivors and work collaboratively to eliminate FGM in all its forms.

By standing together, we can build a world where every girl can grow up safe, healthy and empowered, free from all forms of harmful traditional practices.

This day highlights the importance of prevention, early detection, treatment and support, while advocating for equitable access to quality healthcare for everyone, regardless of background or circumstances. Many cancers can be prevented through healthier lifestyles, vaccinations and regular screenings and early diagnosis significantly increases survival rates.

As we observe World Cancer Day, we stand in solidarity with cancer survivors, honor the memories of those who have lost their lives and support the countless caregivers and health workers who continue the fight every day. Together, we can create a future where fewer people develop cancer and more people survive it.
