Climate change has moved from theory to lived crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa, demanding urgent adaptation, resilience-building, and global support for those on the front lines. The evidence is overwhelming — it’s time to treat it as the emergency it is. 🌍🔥

It was an honour spending quality time with His Excellency, Dr. Muhammad Kyari Dikwa (mni), Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation and Grand Patron of El-Faruq Foundation.

We were deeply inspired by his speech, life experiences, and the challenges he overcame in his youthful days as a committed community development activist. His journey is a powerful reminder that patience, resilience, and the courage to take calculated risks are essential foundations for growth and lasting impact.

The engagement reaffirmed an important lesson: what we invest in during our youth ultimately shapes who we become in later life.

We pray that Almighty Allah grants him continued good health, strength, and steadfast Iman. 🤲
We remain grateful for the guidance, lessons, and inspiration drawn from this remarkable moment.

REPORT ON SPONSORSHIP OF AN ORPHAN FOR WAEC AND NECO EXAMINATIONS

El-Faruq Foundation continues to uphold its commitment to supporting orphans and vulnerable children in accessing quality education. As part of this commitment, the Foundation successfully sponsored the registration fees for both WAEC and NECO examinations for a female orphan, Fatima Anbul Hassan, on 14 January 2026.

The total sum of Seventy Thousand Naira (₦70,000) was paid to cover her examination registrations. This support was made possible through the contribution of one of our brothers and family members within the Foundation, who partnered with El-Faruq Foundation to ensure that the candidate does not miss these important examinations due to financial constraints.

This sponsorship will enable the beneficiary to sit for both WAEC and NECO, thereby increasing her chances of furthering her education and building a better future. El-Faruq Foundation remains committed to empowering orphans and the less privileged through education and humanitarian assistance.

We pray that Almighty Allah reward our dear brother and family member who supported this cause abundantly, bless his health and provisions, and grant him success in this world and the hereafter. May his kindness towards orphans be a source of continuous blessings for him and his family. Ameen.

🌱 Applications are now open for the Spring cohort of the FXB Climate Advocates Program!
Are you a young person committed to climate action and ready to turn ideas into real impact? Or do you know someone who should apply?
The FXB Climate Advocates Program is a free, virtual program for youth ages 13–25 from around the world who want to take meaningful climate action in their communities.
What you’ll gain:
🌍 Join a diverse global community of young climate advocates
🧠 Participate in interactive sessions led by climate and advocacy experts
📣 Build skills in leadership, storytelling, and policy advocacy
🌱 Receive guidance to design and implement a local climate action project
What the commitment involves:
🗓️ Attend 10 virtual Zoom sessions over the course of the program
🌍 Take part in a community-based climate action project
🎤 Present your project at the end of the program
🎓 Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, which can be included on a resume, university application, or professional profile.
The program is offered in English, French, and Spanish, with support from partners including Harvard University Project Drawdown and Citizens’ Climate Lobby.
