Amplifying Youth Voices for Meaningful Change

Zai Development Foundation (ZDF) participated in a youth-led meeting at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), bringing together young people and stakeholders to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen youth participation in decision-making.

The engagement provided a platform for young people to contribute their perspectives, identify key priorities, and explore opportunities for meaningful action toward a more inclusive and youth-responsive future.

From Awareness to Action

A meaningful moment as girls come together to learn, connect, and speak openly about health, hygiene, menstrual dignity, and leadership.

Through the Girls’ Health and Dignity Club and the School Pad Bank, we are creating a supportive environment where every girl can stay confident, healthy, and engaged in her education.

Together, we are building sustainable support systems for girls—because no girl should miss school because of her period.

Promoting Health, Nutrition & Protection at Muna Community

Zai Development Foundation (ZDF), in collaboration with Elela-Care Humanitarian and Development Organisation, conducted a nutrition sensitization session and distribution of mosquito nets at Muna Community.

The sensitization focused on promoting awareness of good nutrition practices, healthy feeding habits, and the importance of taking preventive measures to protect families from malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.

Through the distribution of mosquito nets, families were also equipped with a practical tool to support safer and healthier living conditions.

Together, we continue to strengthen community knowledge, promote healthy practices, and support vulnerable families with life-saving information and essential resources.

Football is more than just a game — it can also be a powerful tool for peacebuilding and community unity.

On 3rd May 2026, the Inter-Community Peace Football Tournament brought together the Maisandari and Pompomari communities in a remarkable display of sportsmanship, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence at Game Village.

The tournament created a platform where youths, community leaders, women representatives, peace advocates, and stakeholders came together to strengthen friendship, mutual respect, and social cohesion through the unifying power of sports.

Beyond the competition, the initiative promoted:
• Peaceful coexistence
• Youth engagement and empowerment
• Teamwork and tolerance
• Conflict prevention and dialogue
• Community collaboration and inclusion

Congratulations to the Maisandari Team for emerging champions, and to the Pompomari Team for their outstanding resilience and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Most importantly, both communities demonstrated that unity is stronger than division, and that sustainable peace can be built when communities come together with a shared purpose.

This initiative stands as a strong example of community-driven peacebuilding through sports.
