As part of our effort to Champion Girl-Child Education in Kwara State, hosted a transformative program in Ilorin, advocating for equal access to quality education for all children, particularly the girl-child. “The Need for Girl-Child Education,” highlighted the importance of empowering young girls while emphasizing the role of boys and men in fostering safer communities.
Held at Tanke Secondary School, the program benefitted 700 students (both dropped-out and out-of-school) in 14 public schools through the distribution of educational materials worth million’s of naira, including school bags, exercise books, and school uniforms.
The initiative aligns with Kwara State Government ’s 10-Year Strategic Development Plan and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key speaker and Mother of the day, the wife of the Kwara state governor Her Excellency Amb. Dr Mrs. Olufolake Abdulraz reaffirmed the government commitment to inclusive education and urged students to make the most of these resources.
CHF remained steadfast in this mission to support the less privileged and promote gender equity in education.

We are excited to announce the successful flag-off workshop for our new project, IGNITE- "Inspiring girls and grassroot network for inclusive and transformative education " funded by Urgent Action Fund-Africa (UAF). The IGNITE project is designed to empower and amplify the adolescent girls, women and marginalized groups voices by promoting leadership, resilience, and active participation in community development and advocacy efforts.
The workshop marks the beginning of a series of capacity-building activities aimed at equipping Adolescents girls with the formal education, skills and necessary tools needed to drive positive change in their communities. We are committed to fostering inclusive growth, amplifying voices, and igniting a movement for social justice and equity.

Celebrating International Girl Child Day 2024!

In partnership with we hosted the first ever KWARA state Adolescents girls conference in commemorating the International day of the Girl Child themed "Girls' Vision for the Future". This event was graced by Her excellency the first Lady of Kwara state and other esteemed stakeholders, International/National partners, and dignitaries, all coming together to support and uplift the dreams of adolescent girls.

We were privileged to engage in impactful discussions and lectures centered on the theme, our aims is to explored innovative ways to amplify the voices and aspirations of young girls, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to access formal education and achieve her full potential.

In addition, menstrual hygiene Kits were distributed to adolescent girls, supporting their health, hygiene, and well-being, empowering them to navigate their world with confidence.

At CHF, we are committed to empowering girls, advocating for their rights, and creating a future where every girl can pursue her vision.
