Today, 19th August 2025, PAGED Foundation joined the commemoration of World Humanitarian Day organised by the Network of Civil Society Organisations Borno State (NECSOB) at the Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Theme: “STRENGTHENING GLOBAL SOLIDARITY AND EMPOWERING LOCAL COMMUNITY” Highlighted the sacrifices of humanitarian workers who risk their lives to reach people in need and honoured those who lost their lives in service to humanity.

The event was attended by representatives of the Borno State Government led by Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum (represented by the Hon. Mallam Bukar Tijani, secretary to the state government), Commissioners, SAs, SSAs, UN agencies, OCHA, INGOs, NGOs, and CBOs.
On this day, the PAGED Foundation reaffirms that humanitarian workers are not a target and that serving humanity is the greatest work of life.

PAGED Foundation Supports Flood-Affected Communities in Maiduguri with Non-Food Items (NFIs)!

Our team recently distributed essential NFIs to flood-affected communities in Maiduguri, including:
- Kamsulum Primary School Camp
- Gwange I Primary School Camp
- Bakasi Camp

We ensured inclusive distribution to:
Men, women, girls, and persons with disabilities (PwDs), women and girls of adolescent age, pregnant and lactating mothers

Each beneficiary received:
- Plastic bucket with cover
- Family-size toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Multipurpose soap
- Reusable pad
- Detergent

We stand in solidarity with these communities and are committed to their recovery.

Supporting flood-affected communities in Maiduguri!

Our team at PAGED Foundation recently visited communities impacted by flooding, including Kamsulum Primary School, Gwange I Primary School, and Bakasi Camp.

- We sessions on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and hygiene to promote safety and well-being.
- Met with Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to ensure inclusive support and address specific needs.

We stand with these communities and we are committed to their recovery.

Advancing Education for All!

Recently, Paragon Action on Gender & Disabilities (PAGED) Foundation participated in a crucial policy review meeting was held at the University of Maiduguri to address complex issues affecting out-of-school children in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States.

Key stakeholders, including education officials, experts, and partner organizations, gathered to:
- Review and validate policies for integrating out-of-school children
- Identify challenges and propose actionable steps
- Enhance collaboration and partnerships for effective implementation

The meeting aimed to ensure every child has access to quality education, especially in insurgency-affected regions.

We're thrilled to share that PAGED Foundation recently participated in a comprehensive 3-day training on Inclusive Tool Development Capacity Building, organized by CBM Christian Blind Mission (CBM).

This training equipped us with strategies to create tools that intentionally include everyone, regardless of abilities.

By integrating Universal Design, Accessibility, and Reasonable Accommodation, we're committed to:
✅ Amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities
✅ Breaking down barriers and promoting enablers
