In Monguno, under the just concluded lean season NHF Project, we took another bold step toward strengthening community resilience and promoting healthier living conditions.
As part of our commitment to sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions, we officially distributed essential WASH materials to our trained and reformed WASHCOM members empowering them with the right tools to effectively manage water systems and maintain sanitation across the camp.
To support environmental cleanliness and structured waste management, the team received 10 waste bins, handwashing stands, wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, rain boots, hand gloves, diggers, and sandbags, all critical tools for organized camp cleaning and improved hygiene practices.
For effective and quality water management, we also provided pipes, a gallon of chlorine, a flowmeter, a chlorine doser, and other vital water treatment supplies to ensure safe, clean, and properly treated water for the community.
This intervention goes beyond distribution it strengthens local capacity, promotes ownership, and ensures that communities are equipped to sustain safe water and sanitation systems long after the project cycle ends.
