YALI Network Sokoto Commends Exceptional Talent.

We celebrate Muhammad Sirajo Abubakar, a 16-year-old student from Sokoto State, for his exceptional performance in the 2026 JAMB examination, scoring an impressive 353.

His achievement, coming alongside a remarkable WAEC performance, is a powerful reminder that talent can emerge from even the most difficult circumstances.

As a young orphan who has continued to pursue excellence despite significant challenges, Muhammad deserves more than applause. He deserves opportunity, support and an enabling environment to thrive.

We therefore join the call for the Sokoto State Government to consider an exceptional scholarship and educational support package for Muhammad. Investing in a young person of this calibre goes beyond supporting one student; it is an investment in the human capital and future of Sokoto State.

We also acknowledge Dr. Bashir Jelani and Gamji Foundation for bringing Muhammad’s story to public attention and advocating for his educational future.

YALI NETWORK SOKOTO UPDATE: STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT ON GIRL CHILD EDUCATION

Led by the State Coodinator, Maccido Bello, glad to have paid a courtesy visit to the AGILE Sokoto Office, where we had a productive engagement with the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Mansur Isah Buhari.

The discussion focused on the project’s existing priority areas, emerging gaps, and opportunities for youth organisations like Yali Network Sokoto to contribute as partners in progress.

We were taken through AGILE’s journey so far — from girls’ education, retention mechanisms through conditional cash transfers, to establishement of school infrastructure and renovation, safe spaces, WASH facilities and other critical interventions reaching a significant number of secondary schools across Sokoto State.

We deeply appreciate Dr. Mansur for the insightful briefing, warm reception and continued commitment to advancing education and opportunities for girls across the state.

It was particularly meaningful to engage with him as one of the pioneer founding mentors of YALI Network Sokoto.

Stronger partnerships. Better opportunities. A better future for our young people.

We are delighted to invite the general public to the PUREPATH HAST Initiative — a Personal CDS Project by Corps Member Amanwi Gahtan Ndomchen, focused on Health, Awareness and Skills Acquisition for vulnerable communities.

As young leaders, we believe community development begins with people who are willing to identify challenges, take initiative and create practical solutions. We therefore commend all Corps Members who continue to go beyond their primary assignments to serve and create positive impact.
