About CARES Foundation

CARES foundation is a non-governmental and Nonprofit making organization committed to promoting sustainable community development initiatives through health, social and economic empowerment of children and women whilst promoting good health and well-being, gender equality, peace justice and strong institutions via educational and community based programs, especially in un-reached communities.

The acronyms CARES stands for Community Assistance and Relief Foundation. These embody our core aim and objectives in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 5 and 16 Good Health and Well-being, Gender equality, Peace justice and strong institution. However, our activities invariably contributes to achieving some other SDGs.

We have gradually scaled our operation from our humble beginning through registration with Nigeria corporate affairs commission in 2018. Our strong corporate governance structure through the board of Directors and astute managerial team is our treasured strategy in our accomplishments.

We covet an impactful, meaningful, equitable, decent and dignified living and livelihood of children, women and vulnerable especially in the unreachable communities.

Mission statement

To achieve gender equality, improve the status of women, improve the living condition of children and the vulnerable in the unreached communities through advocacy, empowerment, sensitization and other support services

Aim and Objectives

1. To provide sustainable aids( financial, materials, moral ) to children, orphans, women, active poor widows, physically challenged, vulnerable among others in the rural communities

2. To assist indigent vulnerable ones in the rural communities through sustainable economic, social and financial plans

3. To create awareness and sensitize rural dwellers on life threatening disease that might lead to pandemic and opportunities that hitherto remain a mirage

4. To serve as a bridge and advocate between rural communities and government agencies, professional bodies and international organizations

5. Empowerment, Training of children, women and midwives opportunity from home and abroad

6. Other relevant activities solely for the benefit of orphans, widows, vulnerable children, physically challenged among others.
