Are cameras becoming obsolete?

AI can now generate HDR video that holds up in real color grading workflows and can sit alongside footage shot on a cinema camera.

It can even export as EXR sequences and fit directly into professional VFX pipelines.

And this is just one part of what is changing.

I ran some serious tests on ChatGPT Images 2.0 and this magazine design is one of the results.

This was created as a client music video, not a test.

The process followed a full creative pipeline. From treatment to song interpretation to costume design and visual motifs that carry the narrative across each scene.

Every choice was intentional. The goal was to translate sound into something visual and meaningful.

What makes this interesting is when it was made. At the time, maintaining character consistency and achieving clean lipsync for a rap performance was still a major challenge. So the workflow required creative problem solving to get the result you’re seeing here.

That is the shift.

AI is not removing creativity. It is demanding a different kind of thinking and opening up a new way to build.

I will be breaking down this entire process in a tutorial, hopefully before the month runs out.
