THANK YOU OUR ESTEEMED TEAM FOR MAKING BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT A SUCCESS.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT:
SCHOOL FEES PAID FOR 20 PUPILS IN JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL 1
AND FREE BACK TO SCHOOL PACKS.


We are excited to announce that our back to school project for the month of October is a huge success and has made a major difference in the lives of the beneficiaries who are children from low income families.

Shape Empowerment Foundation gave back to school items such as School Bags, Dozens of Exercise books, Mathsets, English and Mathematics textbooks to children from Lepia community an underdeveloped border community between Ogun State and Lagos State.

The icing on the cake of this impact project is paying for the school fees of 20 pupils; 5 from Lepia community and 15 from Ode Omi community.

At Shape Empowerment Foundation, we are simply inspired by the idea of making the world a better place, from where we are, with what we have, and for the one person who needs it the most!

REDEFINING THE FUTURE OF LESS PRIVILEGED CHILDREN THROUGH EDUCATION.

Our Back To School project is aimed at promoting quality and continued education by helping to transition 15 less privileged children in ODE OMI, a rural and underdeveloped community located between the border of Ogun and Lagos State.

Shape Empowerment Foundation wants to give 15 generations represented per child, a chance to change the world through education.

We are simply inspired by the idea of making the world a better place,from where we are, with what we have, and for the one person who needs it the most!

BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT, SEPTEMBER 2023:
AN INTRODUCTION.

On the of 27th of July 2023, SEF embarked on a survey journey to ODE OMI COMMUNITY, a border community between OGUN STATE and Lagos State. SEF was accompanied by Life Crown Foundation( An organization promoting and running a basic education scheme for children in ODE OMI Community).

Ode Omi is an underdeveloped community with a number of challenges including epileptic educational system and a struggle for survival by the inhabitants.

SEF aims at collaborating with individuals, well meaning organizations and government parastatals in driving holistic change, and ensure that children in this community acquire not just basic education but secondary and tertiary education.

This is in a way to establish sustainable development for economic growth by promoting quality education for all.

SEF looks forward to a Transformational project, as we prepare to transition 15 pupils from primary to Secondary School and give other children a chance to a better future through Education.

INCLUSION IS STRENGTH: World Albinism Day.
June 13th 2023, A throwback.

SEF believes that for a nation to truly develop, there must be equality, equity and inclusiveness.

Men and Women must be actively involved and incorporated towards nation building and economic development. We must leave no one behind on this journey of making the world a better place.

It was on this note that SEF joined voices with The Albino Foundation (TAFafrica) in celebration of the world albinism day, held at the Nigeria Institute Of International Affairs Lagos State.

Our highlights included the heart warming presentation of our CEO Dr Philip Igbinijesu that included a proposal for collaboration in changing the world.

The second was seeing the foundation's track record of support for People With Albinism (PWA) who had cancer. Dr Jake Epele of The Albino Foundation (TAF) Group is leading change in a holistic and empowering way.

Paraphrasing the third highlight of the day: it's time we move from awareness to consciousness in a way that solves real life problems and create workable interventions for people in need.

We must truly rise to protect he rights of People With Albinism (PWA), have them icluded in jobs suitable for their unique conditions, provide them with materials that would minimize their risk to cancer and provide support for those with cancer.

We should never make jokes of and about People With Albinism
We should not discriminate against PWA.

All it takes to change the world is one willing heart, and one collaborative effort.

P S: People With Albinism should protect themselves from the harshness of the sun, use sunscreen suitable for their skin types and seek medical attention on time.

SEF stands grateful and inspired for the opportunity to have experienced this day!
