We are grateful to support three mothers of children with cerebral palsy through the Thrive Beyond Cerebral Palsy Mentorship Programme.

Through practical guidance, home-based therapy strategies, emotional support, and a community of understanding, these mothers are gaining confidence and renewed hope to support their children.

At Caris Women and Children Initiative, we believe every family deserves the knowledge, support, and opportunity to thrive.

Together, we are turning support into impact and hope into transformation.

There is no better way to welcome a new month than with a story like this!

In February, we joined hands with to walk with mothers raising children with cerebral palsy.

Today, we’re honored to share one of the mother’s transformative testimony. Her journey is inspiring, and we’re grateful we showed up.

Earlier this month, Caris Women and Children Initiative had an engaging conversation with over 200 expectant mothers in the ancient city of Ibadan, reminding them that one of the greatest gifts they can give their babies is exclusive breastfeeding.

More than nourishment, breast milk is a baby's first protection. It strengthens the immune system, fights infections, and gives every child a healthier start in life. For mothers, it is a quiet gift too, supporting recovery after childbirth while nurturing a bond that words can hardly describe.

Sometimes, the strongest foundations are laid through the simplest choices. And every healthy beginning gives a child a brighter tomorrow.

If you're hoping to increase your milk supply, remember: feed your baby often, ensure a good latch, eat well, stay hydrated, and give yourself the rest your body deserves. Small, consistent habits can make a big difference.

On Tuesday, July 7, the Caris Women and Children Initiative visited Alakia/Olode Model Primary Health Care Centre, Ibadan, for a health outreach focused on one simple but powerful message: the importance of breastfeeding.

We had meaningful conversations with mothers and caregivers, sharing practical knowledge about how breastfeeding gives every baby the healthiest possible start in life while strengthening the bond between mother and child.

Every informed mother is another step toward a healthier child, a stronger family, and a thriving community.

Together, we're raising awareness, empowering families, and helping every child begin life with the care they deserve. 🤱💙
