Judges’ Appreciation Post❤️🔥

This is to sincerely express our gratitude to the vigour, time, expertise and excellence these judges put in in marking and scoring the essay entries at the just concluded HerGrit Girl Child Competition/Conference. They made sure that the best six students were shortlisted to compete at the final round of the competition. We do not take this for granted. Thank you, thank you and thank you🙏🏽❤️

Also, special shout out to who chaired this process in every sense of it and ensured that the HerGrit Competition Sub-committee delivered their mandate on time and with no integrity lost.

The recently concluded HerGrit Girl Child Conference 2025 also featured the HerGrit Competition 2025.

There were two phases to the competition, the essay writing, which was the entry level themed ‘Girls Leading Change: The Role of the Society in Empowering Girls to Lead Beyond Barriers’, and out of 40 entries from seven(7) secondary schools in Lagos State, the best six were shortlisted by a team of competent judges, to participate in the public speaking competition themed ‘Leading Boldly: How Girls Can Lead Change in Their Communities’.

The competition was a tight one as the students all made brilliant presentations and unambiguously marshaled their points. However, having satisfied the prerequisite criteria more than the other contestants, 3 winners emerged; The Champion, HerGrit Competition 2025; the First Runner Up and the 2nd Runner Up.

These winners will be spotlighted in our next post, stay tuned.

Glory be to God, HerGrit Girl Child Conference 2025 themed ‘The Girl I am; the Woman I want to Be’ was a huge success🔥🔥🔥 We sincerely thank everyone that contributed to the success of this event. We are indeed, most obliged.

Girl children from various secondary schools in Lagos State came out in their numbers with their teachers. There was no better way to commence the Conference than with our National Item❤️
