At this point, leadership in empowerment programs is not easy at all.

After discovering that a beneficiary diverted the back-to-school support money meant for her child’s canvas, we decided to replace her with another beneficiary so the opportunity would not be wasted.

This morning, we publicly announced the replacement name. Instead of appreciation or cooperation, the feedback we received was shocking.

According to the regional admin who contacted her, she said she was no longer interested, that we should “hold our money,” and she even exited the group without reaching out personally.

What is even more painful is that all these happened after we were only trying to maintain accountability and transparency in the foundation.

We are not fighting anybody.
We are not forcing help on anyone.
We are simply trying to make sure assistance meant for children is actually used for the purpose it was requested for.

This recent incident has opened our eyes to many things, and going forward, stricter verification and screening measures will be applied before selecting or announcing beneficiaries.

To the genuine people who appreciate and respect this platform, thank you for standing with us. Despite the challenges, we will continue helping people with sincerity and accountability.
