BAYWO Foundation Strengthens Its Capacity for Greater Impact

BAYWO Foundation successfully held a Strategic Planning and Fundraising Training to strengthen its organizational capacity, improve programme planning, and enhance resource mobilization.

The training focused on strategic direction, fundraising approaches, partnership development, proposal writing, and sustainable resource mobilization to support BAYWO’s programmes and interventions.

It was an engaging and impactful session that reinforced the team’s commitment to building a stronger organization and creating lasting impact in communities.

BAYWO Foundation continues to strengthen partnerships with key government institutions and stakeholders to advance the health, rights, dignity, and wellbeing of adolescents, young women, youths, and underserved and marginalized communities.

“As part of our ongoing advocacy efforts, BAYWO Foundation engaged with the Lagos State Ministry of Health virtually and paid an in-person advocacy visit to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)”

The visits provided an opportunity to:

🔹 Present BAYWO Foundation’s programmes, achievements, and areas of intervention.
🔹 Advocate for improved access to quality, youth-friendly, inclusive, and rights-based health services.
🔹 Strengthen collaboration in addressing HIV, TB, malaria, SRHR, GBV, and other public health priorities.
🔹 Promote the protection and advancement of the human rights of vulnerable, underserved, and marginalized populations.
🔹 Advocate for the meaningful involvement and representation of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in decision-making processes, policy development, and programmes that affect their health, rights, and future.
🔹 Create opportunities for AGYW to amplify their voices and participate meaningfully in platforms where decisions affecting their lives are made.
🔹 Advocate for meaningful participation of adolescents and young people in policies and programmes affecting their health and rights.
🔹 Explore opportunities for stronger government–civil society partnerships to promote equitable access to services, justice, and opportunities.

BAYWO Foundation successfully organized a two-day Strategic Planning Workshop under the Her Voice Fund and Y+ Global projects.
The workshop brought together the BAYWO team to reflect on our achievements, identify areas for growth, strengthen organizational capacity, and develop strategic priorities for the future.
Through meaningful discussions, collaborative sessions and forward-thinking ideas, we are building stronger systems and clearer pathways towards greater impact for the communities we serve.
We are grateful to Her Voice Fund and Y+ Global for supporting this important organizational strengthening process.
