MOM WHO KILLED NEWBORN BY PUTTING HER IN OVEN NOT CONVICTED OF MURDER

Mariah Thomas, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death. According to Jackson County court records, she was sentenced to 13 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

The sentence came more than two years after Kansas City police discovered Thomas’ infant daughter dead inside a home, suffering from severe burns.

The tragic incident occurred on February 9, 2024, when officers were called to the home at around 1:30 p.m. following a report that a baby was not breathing.

When police arrived, they found the 1-month-old infant with apparent burns covering her body. A family member later told detectives that Thomas had said, “I thought I put her in her crib and I accidentally put her in the oven.”

Thomas was initially charged only with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death. Court records show that prosecutors later added a first-degree murder charge, which was ultimately dismissed under the plea agreement reached Tuesday.

NETHERLANDS EUTHANIZES DISABLED 2-YEAR OLD CHILD.

A disabled 2-year-old child has been euthanized in the Netherlands, despite not being terminally ill or dying. Dutch officials have nevertheless confirmed that the procedure was carried out legally.

A Dutch review committee has determined that the doctor involved acted with due care in what has been described as the country’s first reported case of euthanasia involving a child under the age of 12. The child, who was nearly 2 years old and had severe disabilities, died through euthanasia late last year.

The toddler was almost 24 months old and unable to communicate. The child did not—and was not capable of—requesting euthanasia.

The child was born prematurely at 26 weeks’ gestation and reportedly suffered severe brain damage. As a result, the child developed severe cerebral palsy, visual impairment, and frequent epileptic seizures that were largely resistant to medication.

In 2024, the Netherlands changed its rules to permit doctors to perform euthanasia on children between the ages of 1 and 12 under strict conditions. These include reportedly hopeless and unbearable suffering, the absence of any other reasonable treatment or solution, and an assessment by at least one independent physician.

Officials had expected such cases to occur no more than five times a year. This is reportedly the first and only case documented so far.

NEWBORN BABY FOUND ALIVE AFTER BEING ABANDONED IN MALAYSIAN AIRPORT TRASH BIN

A newborn baby boy was miraculously found alive after reportedly being abandoned inside a trash bin at Penang International Airport in Malaysia.

The infant’s cries were heard by a cleaner on August 31, who immediately alerted the police. Distressing footage from the scene shows the newborn lying inside a container lined with a blue plastic bag.
The baby still had his umbilical cord and placenta attached when airport staff rescued him and rushed him to safety.

He was taken to Penang Hospital for medical evaluation, where doctors reportedly found him to be in generally good condition.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the abandonment, and investigations are ongoing.

A woman has shared a tearful account on TikTok about undergoing a late-term abortion at 26weeks of pregnancy, describing what she says is involved in the procedure.

According to her account, she was told that a needle would be inserted into the baby’s heart to stop the heartbeat. She further stated that she would subsequently be induced to deliver the baby and that the remains would be cremated or buried.

WOMAN RECEIVES MASSIVE CONTROVERSY AFTER UNALIVING HER THREE CHILDREN, BLAMING POSTPARTUM PSYCHOSIS.

Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts, unalived her three young children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months on January 24, 2023.

Her defense says she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis at the time. Prosecutors, however, argue that her actions were intentional and planned, noting that she sent her husband out on errands shortly before the incident. Lindsay Clancy situation has drawn attention online due to the fact that she has received much support and GoFundMe donations of currently 1 million, with a goal of hitting 2 million dollars.

She is currently facing murder charges in an ongoing Massachusetts trial.

While postpartum mental health struggles are real, and mothers deserve help, it doesn't justify her actions.

NEWBORN BABY FOUND ABANDONED AT OSISIOMA JUNCTION, ABIA STATE 💔

It’s painful to imagine a baby being brought into the world and left alone like this. Whatever the circumstances may have been, no mother should feel so helpless that abandonment becomes her only option.
