Rotary club of Eleko Golden donated notebooks and pens to students Iwerekun community secondary school, Lakowe Ibeju local government area, to carry out this month project which is centered in Basic Education and Literacy project. This project was carried out on the 26th September, 2025.

This project foster the encouragement and need for basic education as a foundation to reach the less privileged students which shows encouragement to them about the importance of education in their lives and how it affects their future.

Books were distributed across all JSS 2 classes while JSS 3 classes received books based on quiz. Questions were asked and those who provided correct answers were given books and pen as reward.

Our gratitude to all our supporters that make this project a success, we pray you receive fulfillment and also to keep on with the good works to service.

Highlight from RC of Eleko Golden joint fellowship with their intenting rotaract club of LASU Epe.

During the fellowship the club president stated out their achievements and challenges the club is facing;

• the club registration with school boards so they can be recognized by the school; analyzing how the previous club boards were trying to get the club registered with the school but failed cause some students were unable to submit require documents.

• RC of Eleko Golden promise to help them through the process

• They also mentioned the chartering of the club, since the rotary year is just starting. They requested to have or know what it requested of them to be able to get charter. The club promised to see them through the process of chartering

• The club saw that they also have challenges on how to carry out their fellowship and taught and corrected them accordingly to rotary norms.

The fellowship wasn’t just a chit chat but a call to service from Intenting rotaractors for guidance and Rotary club of eleko golden answered to it.
