Week two of the RLabs Nigeria Venture I-Labs program is all about the Validation Blueprint. We’re moving past surface-level assumptions to find the ground truth for healthtech and climatetech solutions, using our Interrogation Toolkit to drill down to the bedrock of market needs.

The goal is to find the outcomes that matter most to the user. By utilizing outcome-driven innovation, our participants are pinpointing exactly where current solutions fail, positioning their ventures where the market is most underserved.

This week is critical to ensure our entrepreneurs aren't just building products but are addressing high-importance, low-satisfaction needs. It’s been an energizing week of discovery at RLabs Nigeria as we watch them shift from "what if" to "what is".

Some of the most important work starts with a simple question.

For Mrs. Aramide, from the RLabs Nigeria Women Community, it was this: how can more women fully understand what is happening in their own bodies?

That question led her to build Eleso because reproductive health goes beyond periods or having children; it is closely tied to overall wellbeing and requires paying attention to your body, noticing changes, patterns, and what feels off.

Through Eleso, she is creating a way for women to track, understand, and take ownership of their bodies in a way that feels practical and accessible.

This is the kind of work we continue to see across the RLabs Nigeria Women Community. Women building from real experiences and turning them into solutions that others can use.

If this resonates, take a moment to see what she is building at www.eleso.ng

RLabs Nigeria ambassador Safiyanu is driving access to learning in Bauchi State, taking our education programs directly to the community. His sessions provide a practical roadmap for anyone looking to bridge the gap between their current situation and a professional career. By walking participants through the Yoma platform, he is showing young people how to access a library of free, cross-sector learning modules that build a digital profile recognized by global partners and employers.

The focus isn't on theory; it's about tangible outcomes. Safiyanu is onboarding individuals and ensuring they have the knowledge and soft skills required for employment and business. His work in Gombe proves that when you decentralize access to tools and mentorship, you unlock potential that previously felt out of reach.

If you are interested in incorporating these free learning opportunities into your organization or for the people you serve, please email us at [email protected]. We are happy to discuss how we can support your goals.

We are incredibly proud of our ambassadors who continue to drive innovation, learning, and hope in their communities.

At RLabs Nigeria, through our Venture I-Labs programme, we are working with founders building in the Healthtech and Climatetech sectors.

As part of this programme, we recently hosted an AMA session, and it was energising to connect with entrepreneurs stepping up to solve real challenges in these spaces.

Over the next six weeks, participants will go through the programme, covering regulatory compliance, MVP prototyping, unit economics, and investment readiness. We look forward to supporting them along the way.

Our "From Learning to Earning" session with Frankcess Odimegwu was a great and impactful one.

95+ participants came in with questions about career transitions, getting shortlisted, and standing out in a competitive job market. Frankcess, a talent acquisition specialist at Sourcing Sprints, drew from her professional experience to break down what recruiters actually look at, what makes a profile easy to ignore, and what signals genuine readiness for a role. The Q and A session took it further, giving participants specific, actionable feedback on their CVs and profiles, delivered with enough clarity to understand and apply after the session.

To everyone who attended and to Frankcess Odimegwu from Sourcing Sprints, thank you. You showed up, engaged, and gave participants something concrete to walk away with, and for that we are grateful.

At RLabs Nigeria, the Job Readiness Program is our commitment to closing the gap between learning, skills and employment.

Elijah Moses-Iyajini from RLabs Nigeria is one of the facilitators for this 12-week AfriLabs program built for women building and scaling businesses across Africa.

Over the next 12 weeks, participants will get practical, hands-on support to grow their businesses, with an opportunity to pitch for a support grant at the end of the program.

For ecosystems to create real impact in Africa, the people and networks behind them have to be willing to show up, share knowledge, and invest in those doing the work. AfriLabs has built a network that does exactly that across the continent, and RLabs Nigeria is proud to be part of it and contribute to that mission.

When the ecosystem wins, Africa wins.

Most business ideas never get tested, and the ones that do often fall apart because they skipped the fundamentals.

The Venture i-Labs Program is designed to fix that. If you're building in health tech or climate tech, or you're a first-time founder, an early-stage startup, or a student with a serious interest in either sector, this is the program you've been looking for.

Over 6 weeks, you'll work through problem validation, business modelling, product prototyping, and impact measurement before walking away with a live VC pitch under your belt.
