CSM Field Notes 📝
14th – 18th September

A new state joins the field notes this week — Imo.

CSM Utsetse Peter A. is leading the drilling and installation of a solar-powered borehole, and things are moving fast: 4-inch casing pipes purchased, drilling already underway.

No major hurdles yet, prices have stayed stable since his last market survey, and drilling itself will only take a day.

Next up: casing the well head, flushing and water treatment, and part payment for the solar pump.

Steady progress, one state at a time.

CSM Hack 💡

Almost done isn’t done. How you close out a project matters just as much as how you started it.

Swipe through for 4 ways to close out strong: finishing every last detail, documenting before handover (not after), involving the community in commissioning, and submitting your report while it’s fresh.

The finish line is where the real story gets told, make sure it’s told well.

Project 005 is done. And it comes with a story. 🎬

Education isn’t just sitting in a classroom. It’s the chance for a child to learn, to dream, to become everything they’re capable of being.

That’s the truth our Community Solutions Manager, Joshua Gift Precious, kept coming back to while leading this project.

She realized something along the way: saying “it is well” was never going to fix a crumbling classroom. Only solutions could.

So she built one.

At Anglican Primary School, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, the building has been repainted, damaged windows and doors fixed, and new ceilings installed — a space pupils can finally learn in with the dignity they deserve.

We’re proud to share her full documentary telling this story from start to finish. Watch it, and see what it really looks like when a young Nigerian decides not to wait.

It is well will not fix Nigeria. Solutions will.

Before meets After. 🚻

At St Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, students used to make do with a falling-apart, makeshift toilet — rusted zinc walls, no privacy, no dignity.

Today, they have a fully constructed 2-compartment toilet facility — separate, secure, and built to last.

This project was led by our Community Solutions Manager, Precious Kosomolate, who watched it go from a photo like the “before” above to a building with her name on the wall.

This is what a WASH project actually changes: not just infrastructure, but how a child experiences school every single day.

Art transforms spaces. NaijaSolve transforms communities. 🎨🇳🇬

We visited the incredible Ceracerni’s ArtHub and spent time with the renowned muralist and creative director Sarah Sanni Sarah Sanni for a day of creativity, connection, and conversation. What came out of it was something we’ll never forget.

Two Nigerian-led organisations. One shared belief - that Nigeria can be better, and that we are the ones to make it so.

Watch till the end for Sarah’s message. 🙏🏾

CSM Field Notes 📝
Week of 31st August – 4th September

This week, two projects crossed the finish line and it showed.

In Kwara State, CSM Ugwu B. Onyinye completed the 2-compartment toilet facility at Christian Comprehensive High School Ijomu Oro — doors, tiles, plastering, painting, all done. Her standout moment: writing “supported by NaijaSolve” on the wall. “It filled me with so much gratitude.”

Right beside her, CSM Precious Kosomolate finished her own toilet project at St Paul LGEA School, Omu-Aran and felt the exact same thing, seeing her name on a building that’s now fully built. “Gosh!! I felt so proud.”

Elsewhere: Ogun State’s classroom renovation is complete too, with community members, pupils, and parents showing up to say thank you. And in Kano and Kwara, three more projects are entering their final stretch — desks nearing completion, a solar borehole finally pushing water, and classroom repairs almost done.

This is what months of small, steady updates build toward.
