Nigerwives Braille Book Production Centre We help the visually impaired by providing Braille books, Braille training and support to help them maximize their potentials and live richer lives.

The Braille Book Production Centre registered charity number (RC5527) is an organisation that provides a range of educational services for the blind, each with the aim of assisting blind persons to become self-sufficient adults in the communities in which they live and work. The Centre was set up by Nigerwives a not for profit association of non-Nigerian women married to Nigerian men who reside in

Nigeria. The Centre was set up in March 1995, and has pioneered the computer production of brailled textbooks in Nigeria. Since 1995 the Centre has revolutionised access to books for Braille users from all parts of the country. The Braille Centre provides a platform whereby users all across Nigeria can order books, pay for them through their local bank and receive them by post. In 2012 the Braille centre printed and sold 1,401 books a 52% increase over the previous year demand.
