In partnership with King’s College London, Neem Foundation, and Ituen Basi, Tikera Africa delivered a three-day capacity-building program aimed at empowering the beneficiaries of the Weaving Lives Together (WLT) project. The session focused on strengthening the skills needed to successfully manage their community-based creative enterprise, the Fori Weaving Collective.

Representing a group of communities from conflict-affected communities across North-East Nigeria, the Fori Weaving Collective have participated in an integrated approach that merges mental health support, peacebuilding, and creative skills development to drive sustainable socio-economic empowerment.

We didn’t just stop at training—we connected them straight to the market. The Fori Weaving Collective successfully showcased and sold their products at Ojà, Tikera Africa’s pop-up market, putting their new skills into real-world action. Watching these creatives transition from Knowing More to Doing More, and Earning More is exactly what Tikera Africa is about.

"Leaders of tomorrow asked how artwork can tell stories about sustainability"

And of course, we answered 💯

Young minds are not exempted from creative incubation at MAD House.

We had an amazing time taking students from Green Oak International School, Port Harcourt on a tour at MADHouse.
