Happy Kids- Promising Purpose (HKPP) is an organization founded in 2015, the purpose of which is to provide encouragement to orphans across Lagos, Nigeria. Our our aim is to show them that they have each been created for a purpose, that they are truly special and that God has a plan for their lives. Many of these children, some as young as 3 months old have had traumatic experiences. We met young
people who have been diagnosed with HIV, a child as young as one month old was found in a dustbin, some children were found on the streets starving, having been abandoned by their parents. In addition, many orphanages and youth centres set up to provide relief for these children are suffering due to financial difficulties, having to look after more kids than they are able to effectively provide for. We aim not only to help in these areas by providing financial and material assistance, but just as importantly to give the children emotional encouragement. What we do
For the past two years, HKPP have been visiting orphanages during the Christmas period and throwing them a Christmas party with music, activities, games and presents. We believe that how we nurture the inside, truly affects how a person shows themselves on the outside.
