A friend of mine was earning ₦700K per month at a 9-5 job in Lagos.

He had a decent apartment.

Drove a nice car.

Had a girlfriend who loved “soft life.”

He wasn’t rich, but he was comfortable.

Then one day, his boss called him in and said:

"You’ve been an asset to this company, but we’re making some changes. We have to let you go."

Just like that, his entire life flipped upside down.

Within three months:
🚫 He could barely afford rent.
🚫 His girlfriend “needed space.”
🚫 He went from hanging out at expensive spots to avoiding calls from friends.

And it hit him…

That his comfort had been an illusion.

Because the money he thought was making him “safe” was actually keeping him trapped.

Most people think poverty is the biggest problem.

It’s not.

The real trap is becoming so comfortable that you stop pushing for more.

Look around you and you'll see:

- The guy earning ₦1M per month but still trading time for money with no backup plan.

- The business owner making ₦5M per month but still depending on one income source.

- The entrepreneur who had one big win and now spends money like success is permanent.

These people don’t feel the urgency to grow—until something happens.

Until the market shifts.

Until their biggest client leaves.

Until their “safe” income suddenly disappears.

Then they realize…

Comfort was the greatest enemy all along.

HOW TO ESCAPE THE COMFORT TRAP BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

1️⃣ Move like your income can disappear tomorrow—because it can and it probably will.
Every rich person you admire today was once broke.
Every broke person struggling today was once comfortable.

2️⃣ Always build your next level before you need it.
Never wait until things collapse before you start thinking of expansion.

3️⃣ Stay paranoid about growth.
The most successful people in the world are never satisfied.

Not because they are greedy, but because they understand one thing:

Nothing in life is guaranteed.

Some people will read this and keep living as if things will always be the same.

Some will ignore the warning signs and realize too late.

Some will get defensive and say, “I’m just enjoying life.”

But a few?

A few will start preparing for the next level NOW, not when it’s too late.

A few will stop mistaking “comfort” for real success.

A few will stay ahead while everyone else scrambles.

If you’re one of the few, drop a comment and repost.

In Igbo land...when some behaves like a BIPOLAR when making choices, we say he/she behaves like "OZU NWA ADA" ( co**se of daughter of the land)😍😍....

It dates back in ancient times when married daughters are brought back to be buried in their fathers compound....

So according to the MYTH, when the coffin is being carried home, the Nwa Ada may signal she should be dropped on the ground....and when the Coffin bearers drop it....She will signal again to be carried up...😅😅..So the Ozu Nwa Ada is consieted a very difficult one to carry....

Linking this to Nigerians .. some Nigerians surely behave like OZU NWA ADA especially when they want to be CANTERKEROUS abd hateful

When Donald Trump called Nigeria , "Disgraced Country"...the Bornthroway Nigerians made so much mockery and fun of it....but ehen news came out yesterday as he publicly eulogised the First Lady, Senator Temi Tinubu and called her "Respected".... The same people are now throwing tantrums saying indulting him and saying he doesnt know anything...huh??😅😅😅😅

Welcome to Nigeria where people behave like OZU NWA ADA depending on their personal & vested interests and political biases...

A journey of N3,000 (From Owerri to Aba), you begged the driver to take N2,000. You begged and swore that that's the last money on you. We even took pity on you and helped you begged the driver and he agreed. Before we could get to Okpor Ala Junction, you have already bought two gala and Pepsi, two plantain chips, Aki na ukwa and udara nwannu and finished it all. 🙄

Now the conductor is angry and said you must pay the complete N3,000 and you are looking at me to help you beg him?

All the things you bought and ate you didn't give me anyone. Nne Biko carry your cross o. No de look at me like that.

I grow up for one area wey sachet alcohol dey like pure water. Everywhere you go, you go see am, even small pikin fit buy am with just ₦50. Nobody dey check age, nobody dey ask question.

E start small small. The big boys for street go mix am with soft drinks, dey brag say “na real men dey drink this one.” We wey be small boys that time go just dey look dem like heroes. Before we know am, some of my classmates don dey hide sachet inside school bag.

Break time, dem go sneak go back of toilet or behind fence go “take small shot.” E turn to big boys lifestyle, if you no drink, dem go call you small pikin. Teachers think say na stubbornness, dem no know say addiction don start.

By the time we reach SS2, some boys no fit stay one full day without one sachet. Dem talk say e dey help dem concentrate, but na lie because grades begin fall, wahala for school increase, and dem face change. Some begin fight teacher, some just stop school.

One of my closest guys, Emmanuel, na one of the sharpest wey I know. That guy sabi book well. But once sachet alcohol enter im life, everything scatter. WAEC time, im dey come school with red eye, hand dey shake. After school, na junction e dey chill with drivers and okada boys, drinking anyhow. One evening, dem say he collapse after mixing plenty sachets. The boy die before he even reach 20.

The painful part be say e no stop for secondary school students. Even small primary school children don dey pick empty sachets, dey lick the small alcohol wey remain. Some dey steal ₦50, from house just to buy their own. Parents no even sabi wetin dey happen until body don spoil.

Families don scatter, small boys don turn drunkards, young girls don lose focus. The same community wey used to laugh when pikin dey drink small sachet don begin cry when the thing don turn big problem.

Every time I pass those same kiosks wey still dey sell sachet drinks, my body dey vex. This thing cheap, dangerous, and na trap wey dey destroy our future quietly.

Make we no deceive ourselves, sachet alcohol don ruin too many young lives.
This matter no be debate again.

Government suppose ban sachet alcohol once and for all. The ban no just necessary e don dey long overdue!
Make we save our children before we lose another generation to alcohol abuse.
