Yesterday 20th July, I was deeply honored to be a guest at the 2026 Russian Day Celebration hosted by the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, University of Lagos.

I was humbled to receive an Award of Excellence for my support in language exchange and commitment to the creative sector.

In my welcome address, I shared that language is one of the strongest bridges we have. When you speak someone’s language and share their food, people are quicker to accept you as one of their own. I told the students that even though I speak seven Nigerian languages, I do not speak any international language yet. But I have learned that body language and eye contact are powerful starting points. Master those while you work toward learning the words.

I also reminded them that language is no longer the barrier it used to be. With translators and AI advancing so fast, connecting across cultures is easier than ever. We cannot afford to be left behind.

My advice to every student: when you travel to study or work in another place, adapt like the Romans do. Learn the language, try the food, respect the culture even when you do not fully agree with it. That respect opens doors to academic and professional excellence.

My sincere thanks to Dr. Joshua O. A. Orabiyi, Prof. J. O. Faloju, and the entire organizing team for this prestigious recognition. Your work under the theme “Russian Language and Education: A Tool for International Cooperation” is vital and inspiring.

On Friday, 3rd July 2026, I led a delegation to visit the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.) OFR, at the Defence House in Abuja.

During the visit, we presented him with the _Queen Blessing Foundation Humanitarian Ambassador Lifetime Achievement Award 2026_, along with a plaque that was originally meant to be presented on 14th February 2026 at our Annual Widows Support Program held in Lafia at the Palace of the Emir of Lafia. Due to his immense duties, he was unable to attend the event.

I am also deeply grateful to have been presented with a plaque by the Honourable Minister at the meeting. I appreciate the honor.

We are grateful for the warm reception we received.

It is with great honor that I announce that the Honourable Minister, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.) OFR, has now been named a Patron of the Queen Blessing Foundation. We are grateful for his acceptance.

The Honourable Minister commended the Foundation for its continued humanitarian work over the past 18 years and for the honor of bestowing him with the _Lifetime Achievement Humanitarian Ambassador Award_, an award he said he would appreciate for a very long time. His wealth of knowledge and guidance will continue to lead the Foundation to greater heights.

With me on this visit were Mrs. imabong Abia, Mr. Desmond Utomwen, and Amb.Audrey Adzuayi

During the meeting, I also used the opportunity to speak about the creative industry, most especially Nollywood, in my capacity as National President of the Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria and Chairman of the Federation of Registered Nollywood Guilds and Associations. The Honourable Minister commended the industry for putting Nigeria on the global map.

We are grateful to the Honourable Minister for his service during his military career and now as a civilian leader. We acknowledge the innovation he has brought to the position. We pray that God continues to guide him and give him strength to enhance the security of Nigeria even further.
