One of the beautiful things about self-discovery is realizing that you don't have to remain the person you once were.

Your interests can change.
Your goals can change.
Your boundaries can change.

Even your definition of success can change. That doesn't mean you're confused, it means you're learning.

So don't hold yourself hostage to an old version of you just because people have already gotten used to her.

Keep discovering.

Notice the things you naturally gravitate towards.

Notice what you keep talking about, learning about, or dreaming about.

Sometimes, the hardest part of growing is separating what you want from what you've been told you should want.

The career everyone thinks is perfect for you.

The lifestyle that looks good on social media.

The version of success your friends are chasing.

But what about you?
What makes you curious?
What kind of life feels meaningful to you?
What do you enjoy even when nobody is watching?

Self-discovery begins when you stop asking, “What should I be?” and start asking, “Who am I?”

Just ask yourself: What is one thing I can do this week that moves me closer to the woman I’m becoming?

Maybe it’s starting the thing you’ve been postponing.

Maybe it’s learning something new.

Maybe it’s finally having that conversation.

Maybe it’s resting without feeling guilty.

Meet Chenka Esther Sunday, a UN advocate and youth mentor passionate about creating opportunities for young people—especially girls—to dream bigger, find their voice, and step beyond the limitations around them.

Through advocacy, storytelling, technology and youth development, she has helped connect young people to opportunities that can change the way they see themselves and their future.
