It is with gratitude to God for a life well lived and fought, and with deep sadness that we celebrate the passing of the legendary Nigerian actor. The Lion of Lufodo.

A remarkable man whose life and career touched generations, Olu Jacobs leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond the stage and screen. His contribution to Nigerian theatre and film, his exceptional talent, and the dignity with which he carried himself will remain part of our cultural heritage.
At CEPI, we also remember him with a special sense of connection. Through his beloved wife, Ms. Joke Silva, a valued member of the CEPI Board of Trustees and a strong supporter of our development work, particularly our campaigns to promote immunization awareness and uptake, his family has been closely connected to our mission.
We are grateful for the love, encouragement, and support that Ms. Silva continues to give to work that seeks to protect children and communities through better health awareness.
Today, we honour Olu Jacobs: an icon, a distinguished artist, a husband, father,grand father and a man whose life made an enduring impact.
May his memory remain a blessing, and may God grant his family, loved ones, colleagues, and admirers the strength to bear this great loss.
