A huge round of applause to Sorcha Fischer, winner of the 2026 Akada Children's Book Festival Illustration Competition! 🌟👏🏽 Sorcha's outstanding creativity and visual storytelling earned her the grand prize of ₦100,000.

Congratulations also to Zinachimdi Raphael Osademe, our runner-up, who received ₦50,000 in recognition of his impressive talent and imagination. 🎉🎨

We are incredibly proud of these young artists whose work beautifully reflected this year's theme, Big Dreams, Brave Stories. 💫

🌍✈️ Discovering Africa, One Destination at a Time! 📚✨

Parents gathered at the Iwemi Tent during for an engaging and interactive session with Sindile Onodu Sindile Onodu, author of Exploring Africa with Kati and Sarai.

Through stories and insights from her book, Sindile introduced families to amazing destinations and cultural sites across Africa that parents can explore with their children to create lasting memories and enriching experiences. 💫

The session became more lively with exchange of ideas, recommendations, and experiences shared by parents at the festival. ❤️
