Grand Challenges Nigeria Selects 10 Projects to Improve Maternal and Child Health

We’re excited to announce that 10 locally led projects have been selected for seed funding under Grand Challenges Nigeria’s 2025 RFP: Advancing Innovative Solutions for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.

These projects, led by Nigerian researchers, institutions, and innovators, are working to address urgent challenges in health and food security with scalable, locally grounded solutions.

From AI-powered screening tools and digital health apps to new models of community-based care and indigenous health innovations, these ideas reflect GCNg’s commitment to system-aligned, impact-driven innovation.

This marks a key milestone in our mission to bring stakeholders together, define national priorities, and direct innovation resources where they can do the greatest good.
