When Frédéric Ntakimazi from Burundi applied to our SELA Fellowship program, he wrote a simple but powerful goal:
“By the end of this journey, I want to build at least 3 manual water pumps and support 5 farmers in my community.” He had the passion for grassroots leadership but needed that push and the right skills to launch out.

Five months later, that dream isn’t just a line on a form — it’s a living reality. Through the SELA fellowship, we were able to help him pivot from idea to Implementation. From farms that once struggled for water to harvests now thriving with hope, his work is transforming lives in Burundi — one pump, one farmer, one community at a time.

SELA isn’t a program for big talk and empty promises. It’s where sustainability leaders are shaped — where ambition becomes action and ideas become impact.

This is what leadership looks like.
This is what SELA builds.

And Frederic is just one of them.

Meet our Content Creation Intern! 🤝

We are excited to introduce Munachimso, who joined our team in September as the Content Creation Intern for the SELA Fellowship.

Munachimso is a graduate of the University of Lagos, where she studied Mass Communication. With a great interest in content creation, she will be bringing her spontaneous ideas for creating relatable and impactful content.

During her time with us, she will be creating engaging content that helps shape how the SELA Fellowship connects with its community.

Her amazing work rate and attention to detail are already making a difference within the team.

We are looking forward to seeing the incredible things she will create with the SELA Fellowship.
