A throwback to our medical outreach in the Ikorodu community, where compassion met action and lives were impacted.

Together, we provided free medical consultations, health education, nutritional support, medications, and essential supplies to pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, and families who needed them most.

Every outreach reminds us that when we work together, we can improve maternal and child health—one community at a time. Thank you to everyone who made this outreach possible. We look forward to reaching even more underserved communities.

Every mother deserves a safe pregnancy. Every child deserves a healthy start.

What a beautiful day of impact!

On Saturday, we were in the Ikorodu community for our 3rd Medical Outreach of the year, providing free medical consultations, health education, medications, nutrition support, and essential care for pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, and other community members.

Every smile, every consultation, and every life touched reminds us why we do what we do. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and bring quality healthcare closer to those who need it most.

A special thank you to IHS Nigeria for sponsoring this outreach and making this impact possible. Your continued partnership is helping us improve the health and well-being of underserved communities.

Together, we are creating healthier families and stronger communities—one outreach at a time.

Another Saturday, another opportunity to serve.

We are getting ready for our 3rd Medical Outreach of the year, taking place this Saturday, July 4, in the Ikorodu community.

Our team is preparing to provide free medical consultations, health screenings, medications, and health education to individuals and families who need them most. Every outreach is a step towards building healthier communities and ensuring that no one is left behind.

This outreach is proudly supported by our sponsor, IHS Nigeria, whose partnership is helping us bring quality healthcare closer to underserved communities.

Meet Mrs. Adebayo Oluwakemisola (25), a mother of two, and her 13-month-old son, Anuoluwapo.

Mrs. Kemi sells dry fish and pomo, while her husband works as a driver. Their struggle became even more difficult when little Anu developed a persistent cough, measles, and severe malnutrition, leading to a week-long hospital admission.

We met this family through a dedicated health worker at a General Hospital who also volunteers with us.

📍 Assessment – 25 June 2026
⚖️ Weight: 6.7 kg
📏 Height: 82 cm
🟠 MUAC: 11.2 cm

At the time of assessment, Anu was severely malnourished, weighing far below the expected range for his age. His mother had not eaten all day, making it difficult for her to breastfeed adequately, while Anu cried from hunger.

Today, Steer for Change Mother and Newborn Foundation enrolled both mother and child into our Nutrition Intervention Program, providing nutritious food and ongoing support to help them recover and thrive.

You can help us reach more vulnerable mothers and children like Anu. Your donation of food items or cash can give a child a healthier future and prevent avoidable maternal and child deaths.

Today, we visited two of the vulnerable mothers recently empowered through our livelihood support program to monitor their progress and provide business guidance.

💜 Dauda Aminat Titilope, a single mother of two who was abandoned by her husband, was empowered with a freezer and frozen food items to help her start a small business. We discussed financial management and how to properly reinvest profits to grow her business.

💜 Oyebola Sadiat, a mother of three, was supported with a sewing machine to strengthen her tailoring business. During our visit, we assessed her progress and shared practical tips on improving and expanding her business.

At Steer for Change Mother and Newborn Foundation, we believe that empowering mothers economically helps create healthier and more stable families.

Would you like to support a vulnerable pregnant woman or nursing mother? Your donation can help us provide business support, medical assistance, food, and essential baby items to families in need.

Abeokuta, we showed up with love, care, and hope.

In partnership with IHS, we reached pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children in Idera Community, Abeokuta, providing health education, medical support, and essential items to improve maternal and child health outcomes.

Every outreach reminds us that small acts of kindness can create lasting change. We are grateful to our partners, volunteers, and donors who continue to make this work possible.

Together, we are reducing maternal and infant mortality, one community at a time.
