NIGHT PRAYER

Lord, tonight we come before You with everything this day has left in our hearts. Some of Your people are grateful for what went well, while others are quietly carrying things they have not told anyone about. Meet each person at that point of need.

Your Word says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” — Isaiah 26:3

Teach us to release what we cannot fix tonight. We refuse to carry tomorrow before it arrives. Give us grace to trust You with the conversations we could not finish, the decisions we are still waiting to make, and the situations that remain beyond our control.

Where this day brought disappointment, let tomorrow not be approached with bitterness. Where there was failure, give wisdom to learn. Where there was success, give humility to remain grateful.

Watch over every household represented here. Let Your presence remain in every home through the night. Keep Your people from fear, disturbing thoughts, and every unseen danger.

As we close our eyes tonight, remind us that You are still at work even when we are not.

“Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” — Psalm 121:4

May Your people rest in that assurance tonight.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

CHANGING THE NARRATION

Sister, when did looking good become more important than becoming good?

We live in a time where appearance can become an obsession.

The right hair.
The right body.
The right clothes.
The right pictures.
The right face.

And there is nothing wrong with looking beautiful. But what happens when the mirror becomes more important than your character?

You can spend hours fixing what people see while ignoring what God sees.

You can edit the picture, but you cannot edit character.

You can hide the blemish on your face, but what about the bitterness in your heart?

You can dress beautifully and still carry pride.

You can look attractive and still be careless with your words.

Scripture says, “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30.

God is not against your beauty.

But He does not want your beauty to become your identity.

Because one day the makeup comes off. The picture disappears. The attention moves somewhere else.

What remains?

Who have you become?

Changing the narration means moving from “How do people see me?” to “What does God see when He looks at me?”

Sister, don't spend so much time maintaining the woman people see that you neglect the woman God is trying to build.

CURIOSITY MADE ME ASK

When did your spouse become the person you fight against instead of the person you fight for?

Why does every disagreement have to produce a winner and a loser?

Why must you prove that you are right, even when proving it leaves your spouse wounded?

When did you become comfortable using your spouse’s weaknesses against them during an argument?

Why do you remember every mistake your spouse has ever made, but struggle to remember the good they have done?

Why does one small disagreement suddenly bring up something that happened five years ago?

Why do you insult, mock, ignore, or embarrass the person you once promised to love?

When your spouse is talking, are you actually listening—or are you just waiting for your turn to defend yourself?

And when the argument is over, do you really resolve anything, or do you simply become quiet until the next explosion?

What happens when respect disappears but the marriage remains?

Because sometimes the marriage does not break in one dramatic moment. Sometimes it is worn down by hundreds of small moments where two people choose pride, revenge, silence and winning over understanding, tenderness and peace.

So, if your spouse treated you tomorrow the exact way you have been treating them today, would you still call what you have a marriage worth protecting?

FAITH IS MYSTERIOUS

Part Twenty-Three — Faith Can Hold On to a Promise

This is where faith becomes mysterious: God can give you a promise before He gives you the evidence. You hear the Word, you receive the direction, you believe the possibility, and then suddenly, nothing seems to happen. The waiting begins, and you start wondering whether you heard God correctly.

Joyce Meyer has shared how, when she first sensed God calling her to teach His Word, the idea seemed completely impossible. She was a housewife with no obvious qualifications, yet she began with a small Bible study. What looked insignificant eventually grew into a worldwide ministry. Her story is a reminder that what God begins does not always look impressive at the beginning.

Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” That is the mystery of faith. You can hold on to something you cannot yet hold in your hands.

Abraham had a promise before he had Isaac. David had an anointing before he had the throne. Joseph had a dream before he entered the palace. The promise came before the evidence.

So I declare over you today: may you receive grace to hold on when the evidence has not appeared. May delay not make you abandon what God has placed in your heart. May your confidence remain anchored in the faithfulness of God.

Can you keep believing the promise when you cannot yet see the evidence?

PSALM 23
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Lord, be the Shepherd of Your people today. Where there is need, provide. Where there is confusion, lead.
“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures… he restoreth my soul.”
Give rest to the weary. Restore tired souls. Lead us beside still waters and quiet every anxious heart.
“Though I walk through the valley… I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.”
For those walking through hard seasons, stay close. Remove fear. Let Your presence be their comfort.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…”
Let goodness and mercy follow Your people today. Keep us near You, now and always.

Let Us Pray
1 Kings 21:16 KJV
"And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it"

Note, King Ahab envied Naboth for his vineyard and wanted to take possession by all means. His reason being that Naboth's vineyard was closer to his (Ahab's) house, 1 Kings 21:2. Naboth resisted him but Ahab and his wife, Jezebel, killed him.

As you step out this day, I decree, every "Ahab" eyeing your glory shall lose his sight.
I decree and declare, every conspiracy against your joy shall expire today.
Every gang up against your rising star shall be frustrated.
I decree, every evil neighbour around you shall be exposed and disgraced.
I decree and declare, whosoever is planning to deprive you of that which gives you joy, shall cease to exist.
That job, which gives you joy, shall not be taken away from you.
The wickedness of men shall not deprive you the joy of children in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, you are a landlord today, may you not become the tenant of your tenants tomorrow in Jesus name.
You will not experience the downturn of life.
I decree and declare, anyone waiting for your obituary shall replace you in the mortuary.
Anyone who has volunteered himself as an agent of the devil to terminate your life shall become a tenant in the grave.
I decree, every Ahab in position of authority in Nigeria, using his position to oppress the poor, shall go the way of the Ahab of old in Jesus name.
I command the spirit of Ahab, in the lives of our leaders, to die now in Jesus mighty name.
I prophesy, a fearless prophet like Elijah shall the Lord send to confront and challenge every Ahab occupying positions of authority in our land in Jesus mighty name.
Ahab! There is no hiding place for you.
Your "Naboth" shall not die but live to show forth the glory of God in the land of the living in Jesus name.
Your unrepentant Ahab is dead in Jesus mighty name.

“He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” — Psalm 91:4

Tonight, I pray for you.

May the Lord calm every troubled heart and give you a quietness that heals, restores, and brings peace. May every wound, disappointment, unanswered question, and burden you have carried today find rest in His presence.

May God silence every voice of fear and confusion, and in the stillness of this night, may you hear His voice reminding you that you are loved, remembered, and never alone.

May His faithfulness be your shield. May He protect you and everything that concerns you. May He cover your home, your family, your health, your plans, and all that you have committed into His hands.

I pray that every anxiety troubling your heart tonight will give way to peace. May you sleep without fear and wake up refreshed, strengthened, and filled with renewed hope.

As you close your eyes tonight, may you find refuge under the wings of the Almighty. May His presence watch over you, and may His angels keep guard over you throughout the night.

You will sleep peacefully, and you will wake up to the goodness and mercies of the Lord.
