A Certain richman about to retire invited all his 13 employers to his house for a roundtable talk......
Offering his guests coffee, the Man went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some
exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the employers had a cup of coffee in hand, the Man said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves,THAT IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR PROBLEM AND STRESS.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups(SELFISHNESS).. . And then you began eyeing each other's cups (NOT SATISFIED WITH WHAT HAVE)."Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live or impact we make.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us. God brews the coffee, not the cups..........
The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
Friends, Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.... AND ENJOY THE
COFFEE..

THE PSLAM FOR THE DAY
Psalm 121:1–2
Let this Islam be your confession today.
For the gift of another blessed day in May, I bless Your name LORD 🙏
According to Your Word, Help comes from You, Lord. Send me the right people today. I declare that I am not stranded.

Father, let divine help arise for me in every area where I need strength, support, direction, or intervention. Connect me with people who will encourage my growth, sharpen my purpose, and assist me according to Your will. I reject isolation, frustration, and unnecessary struggle, for I know
You have not called me to walk alone.

Let destiny helpers locate me, let doors open through divine connections, and let answers come at the right time. I declare that I will not be abandoned, forgotten, or overwhelmed, because Your hand is upon me and Your help is working for me today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

As a relationship/marriage coach, i have seen marriages die while still existing. Two people living in the same house but emotionally divorced. No excitement. No laughter. No touch. No intentional conversations. Just “good morning,” bills, children, and sleep.

Many homes today are enduring marriage instead of enjoying it.
And the painful part? Most times, it is not another man or another woman that destroyed the marriage. It was neglect. Pride. Stress. Silence. Familiarity.

Some couples have not gone on a simple walk together in years. No dates. No random hugs. No “how are you really doing?” Some only touch their phones more than they touch their spouses.

Yes, life is hard. Nigeria will humble anybody. Bills can frustrate love. Work can drain you. Children can exhaust you. But hear this clearly: if all your marriage experiences are problems, arguments, responsibilities, and pressure, love will slowly suffocate.

You cannot keep watering only duties and expect romance to stay alive.
Buy suya and sit outside together sometimes. Dance in the kitchen. Send that text message even when you are in the same house. Hold hands in public. Laugh again. Tease each other again. Pray together again. Stop acting like roommates managing a project.

And please, stop waiting to “feel like it.” Many marriages became cold because both people kept waiting for emotions before making efforts. Love is intentional. Mature love makes moves even when tired.

Ecclesiastes 9:9 says, “Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest...” God never designed marriage to be a prison sentence.

Protect your home from becoming emotionally dry. Because when affection disappears for too long, frustration and temptation start looking attractive.

A healthy marriage is not built only on surviving storms, but also on creating beautiful moments in the middle of them.

THE PSALM FOR THE DAY
Today’s Psalm is a reminder many people need in this season: not every victory came by your strength. Some doors opened because God showed mercy. Some battles ended because He fought quietly for you.

Book of Psalms 107:1 says:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
Before you complain about what is missing, remember what God has preserved.
You may not be where you want to be yet, but you are no longer where you used to be.

Lord, today we thank You for the prayers You answered, the dangers we never saw, the strength to survive hard days, the people You sent to stand by us, and the grace that kept us from giving up.

Some people had plans for this year but are no longer alive to see today. Some started strong but lost peace along the way. But Father, thank You because we still have breath, hope, and another opportunity to try again.

Even in uncertainty, teach us to worship.
Even in waiting, help us to still give thanks.
Even in pain, let our hearts continue to trust Your goodness.

Because gratitude changes the atmosphere of the heart. Let our hearts never become blind to Your blessings. Thank You for Your goodness, protection, provision, mercy, and grace over our lives and families. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
