Still on the Men’s Mental Health Month…
There’s ten times more going on inside the head of a man than most people will ever realize.
He’s carrying burdens he can’t even find words for.
Pressures he doesn’t know how to explain.
Pain he doesn’t know how to release.
And the worst part?
He often already knows what will happen if he tries to speak.
He fears being dismissed.
He fears being called weak.
He fears being told to “man up” again.
So he stays silent.
Because for many men, the loudest expression of frustration is silence.
That quiet withdrawal you see?
That emotional distance you misinterpret?
That “I’m fine” that clearly isn’t fine?
It’s not emptiness.
It’s overload.
And while society keeps expecting men to be strong, unshaken, and always in control, many are breaking quietly in places no one checks.
In fact, global mental health data has consistently shown that men account for a disproportionately higher percentage of su***de cases in many regions of the world. Not because they feel less, but often because they speak less, and suffer longer in silence.
But here’s something that needs to be said louder:
A man does not need permission to feel.
A man does not need validation to be human.
A man does not need to perform strength to deserve love.
Men need to stop chasing validation from people who don’t understand their battles.
They need to learn to stand in their truth, breathe in their identity, and simply be themselves—without apology.
Because real strength is not in silence that destroys you…
Real strength is in becoming whole again.
To every man reading this: you are not alone in your silence, even when it feels like it.
Speak when you can. Heal when you’re ready. But don’t disappear inside yourself.
