Yoruba And Religion!
After the creation of the earth Orunmila set at the middle of the Island founded by him and said thus to the Sixteen principal Odus that descend with him as his disciples. " Ogbe : I order thou the region where the Sun doth rise hence sit down at the East : thou Oyekun; I order the region where the Sun doth set and sit down in the West. " Iwori sit down at the North and "ODI thou at the South.
Orunmila then called the each principal disciples "Odus " and said to them " Ye see what thou art here now, Mark ye this well. This City shall in future be call Ife. ( Love ). The hill on which I am seated will grow three palmtrees bearing monthly her manner of fruits Sixteen of which shall be used for consultation in divination and the leave therefore were for healing of the nations.

Religion and Tradition!
There is a great different between Religion and Tradition. But the difference between the two are not explain to all the youths, in our community. There is only one supreme Religion that the Lord God the Creator. That breath of life given to human being. That's a supreme Religion. Tradition can has is own religion too, but must this be compared to Supreme Religion? Olodumare?

Palm Trees Another of the God's Gifts.
Palms grow throughout the tropics and other places where there is abundant Sunshine. Varieties include cabbage palms sages, palmetto so and the well-known date and coconut palms. And oasis of palms around a well of water is always a welcome sight on the desert. They also add beauty to many ocean Island, leaning over the shoreline, and the Creator has so former them that they stand firm in the fiercest gales,fronds in the wind and their flexible trunks bending gracefully.
It is easy to see why palm trees are considered one of the Creator's great gifts to mankind, providing daily food for millions, as well as timber, fuel, boats, dishes and a long list of useful things.
