Today’s ICCN Arbitration & ADR Commission meeting at Doyin Rhodes Vivour & Co was one of those sessions where ideas and good conversations, shared perspectives, and progress topics especially as the hosting of the 10th Anniversary Conference on 3rd and 5th June draws closer were on the front burner.

⚓ Maritime incidents are down, but risks to crews remain.

The ICC International Maritime Bureau reports 16 piracy and armed robbery incidents in Q1 2026, the lowest first-quarter level since 1991.

This marks a sharp decline, driven by sustained cooperation and enforcement.

Yet threats have not disappeared. Most vessels were still boarded, with crew members taken hostage and injured.

Vigilance, timely reporting and strong coordination remain critical to protect seafarers and to keep global trade moving.

ICCN Marketing and Advertising Commission Inaugural meeting held today at Nestle Nigeria Plc. The inauguration was executed by Dr.(Mrs.) Omolara Akanji, ICCN Treasurer on behalf of the ICCN Chairman, Chief Raymond Ihyembe,OON. With the mandate to drive the Commission's activities, handed over to Mrs. Victoria Uwadoka, Vice Chair Africa, ICC Commission on Marketing and Advertising was set on the right path.

The session brought together key industry stakeholders to exchange insights, strengthen collaboration, and set the strategic direction for advancing marketing and advertising practices in Nigeria.
