Bible Text: Colossians 3:18-21.

Note
Your devotion should be to your husband, you can't be devoted to your husband and not be devoted to Christ.
The quality of a marriage has to do with the quality of the wife and the quality of the husband.

Husbands try to understand your wife. Fathers do not have unrealistic expectations for your children else they will become discouraged.

The husband, the wife and children are the people who makes up a family.
Children respect your parents, pay attention to whatever they are telling you, think deep over it, reason with them. (Ephesians 6) For you to live long and for it to be well with you, you have to respect your parents.

Pillars Required To Maintain A Successful Family.
1. Spirituality. Your actions and your decisions must be led by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:14)
Let God be the one to lead the way, Let go of strive and quarrels from the family (James 3:16).
Never see your spouse as the problem.( Genesis 25:21) Be a burden bearer, don't see them as a problem, when you start seeing them as a problem, they become the problem, instead pray for them.

2. Commitment. it determines the beauty of your marriage. When we talk about commitment, we are talking about time. Give your time, your resources and energy to your family.

Three Things You Must Be Committed To:
i. To God
ii. To your family
iii. To your job

3. Forgiveness. Forgiveness is cultivated, you must learn to forgive in advance. There are no retaliations in forgiveness, No restrictions, no recollections.

4. Friendship. Let your spouse be your best friend.

5. Create a joyful environment. Create fun in your home.

6. The word of God.
