Our Story

Knowledge Aid Initiative (KAI) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is focus on improving the lives and livelihood of vulnerable women and children living in under served communities through economic empowerment , skill and knowledge development , advocacy campaigns, and the promotion of gender equality.

Since inception, KAI has invested a lot of efforts in economic empowerment and capacity building of over 5000 beneficiaries inclusive of persons with disability, low income women as well as young women in undeserved communities.

Poverty Alleviation is at the forefront of our intervention, Knowledge Aid Initiative ultimate goal is to give voice, power, and hardship relief to those we serve by ensuring they are fully empowered, know their rights, heard and supported in participating meaningfully in decisions that concerns their health and well being.

It is our core principle in KAI to carry out Policy research and advocacy on a continuous basis in order to create a supportive policy environment that caters to the needs of vulnerable women and children.

Knowledge Aid Initiative is committed to protection and empowerment of women, children and youths and the enhancement of gender equality.

To empower women, children and households to rise out of poverty by building their capacities in the areas of skills, knowledge and attitudes.

We are committed to helping these people evolve into active global citizens who can identify problems in their communities, mobilize resources and organize their communities to solving those problems.

Through continuous policy research and advocacy, we shall be influencing governments at National and Sub-national levels to evolve supportive policies and commit more resources to the socio-economic empowerment of all peoples, especially the socially excluded, poor and under served communities.
