If you could tell another girl about the Program… what would you say?

That’s what we asked Elizabeth

No rehearsed answer.
No perfect words.

Just honesty.

And you can hear it.
something is shifting.

In how she sees herself.
In what she’s starting to unlearn.
In what now feels possible.

It’s not the full picture yet.
But with every conversation, it’s getting clearer.

The other day, we showed you a glimpse of what happened.
Today, we asked the girls a simple question and their answers said so much more.
Beyond the crochet and the conversations, something deeper is unfolding.
In how they feel and in what they’re beginning to understand.

And this is just one part of their story.

As we wrap up this series of conversations with the doctor, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for the time and clarity she brought to every response.

A very big thank you to Dr. Tolu for coming through to educate the girls on personal hygiene, health awareness, and the importance of early health education.

Your contribution made this session impactful and truly memorable for the girls.

We appreciate you, Doctor.

Programs like this are not optional, they are necessary.

At our recent outreach, we asked a medical expert why initiatives like this truly matter and the answer says everything.

Too many young girls are left to figure out their health, hygiene, and bodies on their own.
No guidance. No safe space. No accurate information.
And that silence has consequences.

This is why we show up.
This is why we educate.
This is why we keep going.

Because access to the right knowledge shouldn’t be a privilege it’s a necessity.

Be part of the solution.

What does impact really look like?

Since 2023, we’ve reached over 250 girls through education support, menstrual health initiatives, and empowerment programs.

Behind every number is a girl with potential, a story, and a future worth investing in.

This is the work. This is the impact.

And we’re just getting started.

Not every young girl grows up with the right information about her health, and that can make all the difference.

In this clip, Dr. Tolu shares why learning personal hygiene early is so important not just for health, but for confidence and self worth.

This is more than education, it’s empowerment.

Stay tuned for Part 2. ❤️

Some things as simple as handwashing aren’t always taught, but they matter more than we realize.
From learning about everyday germs to practicing the right way to wash their hands, these girls took in every step with curiosity and confidence.

Small lessons like this help keep them protected and build habits that stay for life.

As International Women’s Day approaches, we want to hear from you.

What does being a woman mean to you?

Strength?
Resilience?
Leadership?
Compassion?

Every woman carries a story, a struggle, and a power that shapes the world around her.

Share your thoughts with us in the comments. Let’s celebrate the voices, experiences, and strength of women everywhere.

to one of our Skill Acquisition sessions.

In Nigeria today, over 7.6 million girls are out of school and more than half are not attending basic education, limiting their access to future opportunities.
Practical skills like tailoring, digital literacy and entrepreneurship keep girls engaged, open real income opportunities, and reduce vulnerability.

Through our skill development programs, many girls have gone on to support themselves, uplift their families, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Because when a girl gains a skill, she gains power, and that power transforms her future.

Here at The Keji Ajayi Foundation, we’re committed to creating rooms where girls can learn, earn, and lead.
