Today is Children’s Day.
But for many families in Nigeria, today does not feel joyful.

While children around the world are being celebrated, some children here are still being held captive, away from their homes, their schools, and the people who love them.

Children deserve safety.
They deserve peace.
They deserve classrooms, dreams, and protection.

Today, we stand with every child affected by violence and insecurity.
And we hold on to hope that every missing child returns home safely.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Oyo State involving the abduction of students and the loss of a teacher.

Our hearts go out to the families, loved ones, students, teachers, and the entire community affected by this painful event.

No child should have to fear going to school.
No teacher should lose their life while helping shape the future.

At Sondora Aide Foundation, we stand in solidarity with every family grieving and every child affected by this tragedy.
