As of July 8, 2024, out of 82,895 inmates in Nigerian prisons, 69% are still awaiting trial, while only 31% are convicted. These numbers highlight the urgent need for justice reform.

Few weeks ago, Mr. Peter (on Twitter) reached out to our founder, , with a generous offer to feed 100 inmates at Kirikiri Medium Prison. Partnering with Gracias Food (on Twitter), he arranged for a variety of delicious meals, including jollof rice, fried rice, white rice, spaghetti, semo, eba, efo, and egusi.

For the male facility, we distributed 100 bars of antiseptic soap, 105 bottles of Zobo, and 267 packages of Garri mixed with sugar. While the female facility received a half bag of Garri, 300 sanitary pads, 50 bars of bathing soap, and 58 packs of detergent, thanks to a generous donor who wished to remain anonymous.

We successfully served 200 inmates, all thanks to the incredible support from our donors. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.
