Looking back at moments from our 2024 Summer Aviation Camp reminds us why this initiative matters so much.

For many students, this was more than a camp. It was exposure, confidence, learning, and the opportunity to dream bigger than their environment.

Every child deserves access to opportunities that can shape their future positively. Through this camp, students are introduced to aviation, STEM, mentorship, teamwork, and possibilities they may never have imagined before.

As we prepare for the 2026 Summer Aviation Camp, we are asking for your support to help us reach more children and create even greater impact this year.

Your donation can help provide learning experiences, materials, mentorship, and opportunities for students who truly deserve it.

A few months ago, VOA Charity visited Shagamu High School through our Nigerian Children in White Coats (NCWC) outreach, where students were introduced to hands-on science learning and CPR training. 💚

Today, seeing the Head Boy confidently share lessons on CPR and speak about the impact of that experience reminds us why this work matters.

Moments like this show that knowledge shared can continue to save lives, inspire leadership, and be passed on to others.

We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors, partners, and supporters who made this outreach possible. Your support continues to create lasting impact beyond the classroom.

Throwback to our visit to the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Lagos State University (LASU)

Last month, VOA Charity had the opportunity to connect with incredible students, lecturers, and leaders shaping the future of aviation in Nigeria.

From exploring the laboratories and classrooms to seeing the decommissioned training aircraft donated by the Nigerian Air Force, it was an inspiring experience filled with learning, vision, and possibility.

Moments like these continue to remind us why investing in STEM education and youth development matters.

We are proud to be guided by leaders whose journeys inspire purpose, resilience, and possibility. Today, we are honored to spotlight one of our dedicated Board Members and Mentors, Lt. Col. Eric Amissah.

From building paper airplanes as a child in Ghana to becoming a decorated Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, Eric’s story is one of perseverance, sacrifice, and purpose. His journey reflects the power of opportunity, determination, and the support of those who believe in investing in the next generation.

Throughout his distinguished military career, Eric has served in critical leadership roles, contributed to global security efforts, and earned advanced qualifications, including an MBA in Aviation Management. Yet, beyond his professional accomplishments, his passion for aerospace education, mentorship, and youth empowerment continues to define his impact.

As our Board Member and Mentor, He brings invaluable wisdom, leadership, and a shared commitment to inspiring young people to dream bigger and aim higher. His dedication to STEM education and investing in future generations aligns deeply with our mission.

His journey reminds us that where you begin does not define where you can go and that with support, vision, and determination, dreams can truly take flight.

We are grateful for his continued service, mentorship, and leadership within the VOA Charity family.

What if the next pilot, aerospace engineer, or aviation leader is already sitting in a classroom today?

Some children don’t lack potential.

They simply lack exposure, opportunity, and someone willing to believe in their future.

VOA Charity’s Summer Aviation Camp 2026 is designed to inspire young minds through hands-on aviation experiences, mentorship, and life-changing exposure to the world of flight.

One sponsorship could open a door a child never imagined possible.

Date: June 8th–12th, 2026

Sponsor a child today. Every donation helps shape a future.

One of the most beautiful parts of the Nigerian Children in White Coats (NCWC) outreach is seeing students connect with science in a real and personal way.

In this clip, Alade Peter, an SS2 science student from Shagamu High School, shares how the CPR session and hands-on learning experience strengthened his interest in pursuing Medicine and Surgery, particularly in the cardiovascular field.

Moments like this remind us why exposure, education, and practical learning matter.

Inspiring one student today can shape an entire generation tomorrow. ✨
