Today, we celebrate the International Day of the Boy Child — a day set aside to remind the world that the boy child also deserves love, guidance, protection, and opportunities to become a responsible man in society.
At the grassroots level, the celebration is very important because many boys are silently battling neglect, poverty, peer pressure, drug abuse, broken homes, and lack of mentorship. While society expects them to be strong, many young boys are growing up without direction, encouragement, and positive role models.
Celebrating the boy child at the grassroots means:
• Teaching boys good values and godly character early in life
• Encouraging education, discipline, and responsibility
• Helping them discover purpose and leadership potential
• Protecting them from crime, violence, and negative influences
• Giving hope to indigent and vulnerable boys who feel forgotten
When we invest in the boy child today, we are building better fathers, leaders, pastors, husbands, and nation builders for tomorrow.
A boy who is guided today will not become a problem to society tomorrow.
Happy International Day of the Boy Child!
