Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Philippians 4:7 (KJV) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We do not only offer others peace and live peacefully, but we must experience it ourselves.
When we allow the peace of God to keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; there should be a resultant effect on our way of thinking. This means we must make a conscious effort to control our thoughts; We have to direct how our mind should work and what it is allowed to process.
The peace of God should overshadow the thoughts we process: our worries, anxiety, fears, hopelessness, and faithlessness. When we allow God to flood our hearts and minds with his peace; We are at peace even when things are not as they should be; we are calm and peaceful even when we are surrounded by uncertainties, fear, disappointment, failures, confusion, etc.
People around you may not understand your position when you have the peace of God. This peace can be attained through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us. How can we be with the Prince of Peace and not be at peace?
May we allow the peace of God to influence us positively. Have a blessed Thursday.
*Prayer Points:*
1. Lord, I pray for your peace in the midst of negative storms flooding my mind.
2. I take authority over every curse of anxiety working in my mind, and I command it to break now by the power in the blood of Jesus.
3. I declare that Jehovah Shalom reigns over my thoughts. I will not be moved, I will not be afraid of whatever situations surrounding me. I will not be shaken in Jesus name.
