Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic is dumped into our ocean, and by 2050, scientists estimate there could be more plastic than fish in the seas by weight.

Plastic is everywhere — in our food, our water, and even our bloodstreams. Microplastics have been found in human placenta, spermatozoa and breast milk. Yet, 40% of plastic produced globally is used just once before being discarded. We are manufacturing our own extinction — one straw, one bag, one bottle at a time.

The theme for this year, 'Beat Plastic Pollution,' is not just a slogan — it’s a global call to you and me!

💡 Here's how you can be a part of the solution :

1. Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Rethink:
Before you buy, ask yourself: Do I really need this plastic? Refuse single-use plastics. Carry a reusable water bottle, shopping bag, and cutlery.

2. Educate & Influence:
Host community cleanups. Use your social media to educate others. Small conversations can spark big revolutions.

3. Choose Biodegradable Alternatives:
Bamboo toothbrushes, beeswax wraps, cornstarch bags — your choices matter. Opt for innovation over convenience.

In conclusion, beating plastic pollution is very possible. Countries like Rwanda and Bangladesh have successfully banned plastic bags. The real revolution starts with you and me. With every choice we make, we either contribute to the problem or become part of the solution.

Our planet doesn’t need more promises.
It needs people bold enough to act.

Happy New Month, LinkedIn Nurses!
June is for dreamers who do.

For too long, we've filled pages with ideas, drawn out plans, and written strategies—waiting for the "perfect" time. But growth doesn't happen on paper. It happens in motion.

Whether you're a student nurse or a registered nurse mapping out your next big step, this is your reminder: don’t just plan it—do it.
📍 This month, take bold, tangible steps toward that idea you've parked in your notebook.
📍 Start that health campaign.
📍 Lead that initiative, volunteer, apply, speak up, show up.

Nurses are change agents, not just by title, but by action.

So here’s to June—may it be the month we all stop waiting and start doing. 🥂

The reality is clear: no health system can thrive without a thriving nursing workforce. And yet, despite their indisputable role in healthcare, nurses in Nigeria and across the globe continue to grapple with underinvestment, unsafe working conditions, burnout and migration driven by the search for better opportunities.

More than mere words on a poster, ‘Our Future, Our Nurses’ is a rallying cry for global health systems to rise to the challenge. Caring for nurses is not charity; it’s a strategic investment. It is time we stopped treating nurses as expendable and started recognizing them as essential agents of economic stability and national progress. If we are to build resilient health systems and thriving economies, we must start by valuing those who hold them up.

Check our page later today for a post we know you’ll love—it’s one that speaks straight from the heart of nursing.

World Malaria Day 2025 is a global reminder that malaria still claims lives, especially in vulnerable communities.

To reinvest means committing resources to life-saving tools, healthcare systems, and frontline workers.

To reimagine is to embrace innovation—like smarter diagnostics, new vaccines, and tech-driven surveillance.

And to reignite is to spark grassroots energy, ensuring communities are informed, engaged, and empowered to protect themselves.

The end of malaria is not a distant dream—it starts with us. Every voice, every action, every investment matters. Together, let’s recommit to a malaria-free future—because malaria ends with all of us.

For decades, haemophilia has been seen as a male condition. But the reality? Women and girls bleed too. And many are bleeding in silence.

When a woman reports heavy menstrual bleeding, excessive bruising, or prolonged bleeding after childbirth, she’s often met with misdiagnosis, stigma, or simple dismissal.
Why? Because the system wasn’t built with her in mind.

This year’s theme is more than awareness—it’s a call to dismantle the gender bias in healthcare. Because access isn’t truly universal if half the population is overlooked.

Here’s what Access for All should mean:

1. Women and girls are seen, heard, and believed.

2. Medical professionals are trained to spot bleeding disorders in females.

3. Care, research, and resources are inclusive—by default, not exception.

As we mark , let’s challenge ourselves and our institutions:
To listen better. Diagnose earlier. Care equally.

Because equity in healthcare starts by acknowledging the bleeding that’s been ignored for far too long.
