While addressing the members of the newly inaugurated council, Elder Akindele Ojo, the coordinator of the campaign council, enjoined them to remain steadfast and be prepared to take the campaign to every locality in Alimosho.
"APC is like a football team who lost her first and second matches woefully and is already out of the tournament. Such a team's third match is just a ceremonial match because there is nothing to fight for, and that is exactly why APC is down and out. They have nothing to campaign with because non of their campaign promises were met, they only came to drag Nigeria and Nigerians backward. The rising cost of living, the exchange rate, the fuel pump price, and the economy as a whole indicate that APC is a colossal failure," he said.
Elder Ojo further remarked that no reasonable Nigerian who is wise enough to compare the era of PDP with the present administration of the APC will vote for them.
"These are the chances we have and must exploit as quickly as possible by further exposing the APC and persuading voters to vote PDP rescue Nigeria and Nigerians," he advised.
The LGA Chairman, Hon. All. Isiaka Shodiya in his closing remarks urged members to remain resolute as he assured that the people of Alimosho are solidly behind the PDP and are fully ready to vote for the party at all levels in the forthcoming elections.
