IF INDEED THIS IS THE MINDSET OF OTHER POLITICAL ELITES IN IMO STATE TOWARDS MBAISE NATION ,THEN MBAISE NATION WE NEED TO STEP UP OUR GAME ! Comrade Ezindu Benco EZEKWESIRI
For avoidance of doubt, I am not making a hate speech or casting aspersion on Omenkahurunnanya. In as much as we are from the same geopolitical zone of Nigeria, it does not stop me from saying the truth.
I am Chief Onyeihenagarankeoma, the grand commander of constituted embezzlement and legal squandamania, a title I have cherished because of its honesty. We are all embezzlers, but I embezzle constitutionally.
The Mbaise people of Imo State are virtually in control of every sector of Imo State. Almost all the markets and schools are controlled by them. They have a Catholic diocese of their own even when they are supposed to be in Owerri. They have almost bought all empty lands and spaces in the whole of Imo state. They have the highest number of professors and political elites in the whole of South East. They have an intimidating population so what else do they want?
Making an Mbaise man the Governor will mean a total take over of Imo State by the unashamedly ambitious Mbaise people. This will lead to inequity, injustice and discontent. They should wait for other zones to become as deeply rooted and vast as they are before they are allowed the government house.
Omenkahurunnanya is a fine administrator no doubt, but his overtly preoccupation with due process will further slow down the economy of the state and reduce the circulation of money and the purchasing power of the people. This is Imo for God’s sake, we are not the British who believe in unnecessary bureaucracy. Omenkahurunnanya should settle down and learn “home grown, on the spot assessment bureaucracy”
When he was governor, it is to his credit that he started paying pensioners, but pensioners were not happy with regular monthly payment because it did not allow them to save money. Our system is to owe them for two years and then release it as bulk some by instalment. By this many pensioners were able to build and pack into their houses and those who died before they could receive their “heavy pension payout”, had the money given to their children to organise a dignified befitting burial for them. This singular act alone allowed our dead pensioners to rest in peace with all our ancestors. We cannot afford to go back to regular monthly payment of peanut under the Green cap man.
