In preparation for the World cleanup day 2025 , coming up on the 20th, Next Generation sustainable initiative and National Council of NIGERIAN youths organized a cleaning at the Mushin market on the 18th being a Thursday and environmental day for markets not opening untill 10:00am untill after cleaning .

Different bodies were represented , with the Chairman of the local government present and active. Despite the heavy downpour of the morning, it didn’t stop us, by 7:00am and were divided into three groups .Ruth Aku Bamiduro was there representing Strap fam joined other change makers to support safe actions for climate change for a safe environment .

My team went into the ojuoye market and went through several streets, cleaning and packing the dirts.When we were done we re-assembled and by 10:00am we dispersed . I Went back to home to change and went to work .

It was tiring since we walked long distance cleaning but it was fun since it was a group thing and worth every minute .I also met Suliyat Yetunde Oguns after a long time and made new acquaintances as well .

Saturday is the D-day, lets make it happen by coming out to clean our surroundings , in our own interest .

It’s World Cleanup day for 2025, it’s been a whole week of Action for climate change and Ruth Aku Bamiduro has been out there for Strap fam advocating for safe climate actions, it’s the big day today, join and volunteer from any of this locations if you are in Lagos and look out for other locations within you if you are not.

Let’s join hands to make our environments clean and safe, from house holds to neighborhoods to industrial activities.
